The Lambertville Inn Cocktail Hour

So I found the Lambertville Inn, I like the idea of getting married at the church down the street, being able to walk to the reception hall, and get some really awesome pictures.  The banquet room is great because we want to have band,  the party can continue across the parking lot at the tavern, and our guests can stay overnight and we can have brunch in the morning.  My only reservation is the cocktail hour.  When we went the person who handles weddings wasn't there.  (We just showed up.  I didn't want the hard sell first time out.)  So a really nice woman at the front desk showed us around.  But the deck and lobby area seemed too small to host 100 people for a cocktail hour.  Can anyone who has been to a wedding at the Lambertville Inn please tell me how the cocktail hour went and any grievances about the event?

I went to one there and it was very tight. On top of that the room rates were $$$ and the food not so great.  Its really a small venue.  If that is what you are looking for (as I was- everything in one spot plus sleeping) try the Grand Summit Hotel or The Madison Hotel. Nicer venues for sure.

I haven't been to a wedding there, but I stayed at a B&B right across the river in New Hope with FI a few years ago and we went to Lambertville Station for dinner.  We thought the food was great!

I went to a wedding there.  The cocktail hour was very tight,, but it was really pretty with the balcony over looking the stream there.  Also, the food was the best food i've had at a wedding.  We tucked in to the hallway just to get away from the crowd, and that was fine.  It's really a very pretty place.  If I had a smaller wedding I'd have it there.

my fl, our parents and I just went there yesturday to check it out and that was a concern of mine but it turns out that there doing contruction on the deck right now there expanding it and there gonna make it indoor to open up the space more. also the lady thats in charge of the wedding stuff she said that their re-doing the ballroom new carpet, new chairs, resurfacing the bar, new dance floor, ect. Also all the hotel rooms were redone also carpet, furnture, ect. I would make an appt to have her walk around so you could ask ?'s and she can tell you the prices (after she tells you the prices ask about the fri and sun because its alittle cheaper if thats an opinion for you) her name is Melle the prices seem alot but all the stuff u get included in the packages makes it worth it since tax, gradtuity, alcohol is included in the head count. Good choice in food menu my mom said she already know what she wants if we decided to pick them lol.
