Wedding Woes

Let's talk mini camcorders.

I've been reading the reviews, and Kodak's PlaySport has good reviews.

Walmart has one plus a 4GB memory card, tripod, case, and strap for $149. Does that sound about right to you?

Thank you, MNN. I just found it for $109 with free shipping. Hmmn.

Do I need the tripod and other stuff?

I've heard good things about the Flip camera too. I know nothing about it, though, only that our friends love it.

You're welcome...  The tripod could come in handy if you are planning on supplementing your income with some homemade videos ;)

    I lurve my flip.

I'm not sure a tripod is necessary--but it depends, I know I've got a tripod or 2and there are probably 2 or 3 lying around at my parent's house.  ANd I never use them (the Mr. uses them for macro-thingys w/ the camera on occasion)--other people would probalby use them all the time :)

I love my flip.  LOVE love love it.  When the first one broke, I bought another one.  We now have the Mino HD, which is pricier than what you are looking at, but Flip's non-HD versions would be consistent with the Kodak pricing you're seeing, if I recall correctly.

We have one of those gorilla grip tripods.  Which has been handy on occasion, but we almost never use it.  If I want to just record something with the camera still, I just set it on a table or countertop or something.
