PSA: Bendora Wedding Gallery is really cool

So I'm a cupcake lover and I went to Worthington today to get cupcakes from Blue Frost (a new cupcakery I've been dying to try). I promised myself I would walk through Old Worthington while I ate my cupcake to burn some of it off and stumbled across Bendora Wedding Gallery.

I popped in and just told the girl I wanted to look around. It was the owner and she blew me away. She was brilliant and knew of all these cool hidden gems in Columbus. I was just totally impressed with their wall of wedding mags and the fact that you can go in there whenever and not pay a cent. You can also pay them for wedding coordination services but wow. Very cool.

Anyone else seen this place?

ps...I had the chocolate ganache and it was incredible.

    I want cupcakes now!

But that sounds like a really cool place and a great idea. My BIL just recently got engaged, so maybe I can recommend it to my future SIL when they start to plan.

I have used them to find some vendors before. They pointed me in the right direction for someone to print my invitations. However, they do get kickbacks from certain vendors so they are most likely to recommend those vendors to you first but when I didn't go with their DJ they were still very nice to me

I get a lot of emails about them, but I wasn't planning on checking it out.  Maybe I will now.

I hired them last month to help me with planning and I don't think that is totally correct blondebelle, at least not the way they explained it to me, because I did ask about that before hiring them, since it was a concern for me.

I was told that they are "supported by vendors, which is why they are able to offer their services at such affordable rates compared to other planner/coordinators in town"  "And these are vendors that they feel are the best in their field regardless"

Apparently, they only accept vendors into the gallery by invitation or personal reference...and they research and review their portfolios prior to accepting them into the gallery.

I guess the way I looked at it was, every place I've visited or any website I check out seems to have a "preferred vendor list" of some sort...and to me I doubt they would ruin their reputation by referring me to someone they don't believe in, regardless of if they are in their network or not. Especially since they have to work with me until next November! :-)

Hope that helps! I'll let you know if I find out something different!

When I asked them how they supported their business Tara told me that when I choose a vendor they refer me too that vendor gives them something back. Also the vendors pay to advertise with them and be on their preferred list like you said. I wasn't trying to imply that they use less then quality vendors and maybe I understood incorrectly but that is who they will send you to first. Same as anyone else - it doesn't bother me either but just an FYI when working with them. And they are all super nice!
