Buzz - I swear my couch is the only reason why H continued to see me.

It was the perfect length for him to stretch out and provided really good support for his back. Once it's gone, the marriage may be over.

For furniture, we go to a discount warehouse where discontinued stuff from all the furniture stores go. We've been incredibly lucky there. And because what you see is what they have, it can be delivered the next day. We LOVE it. It's called America Furniture Mart, but I'm not sure if it's national or not. I think a lot of cities would have something similar.

<div>H is 6'4". We got our couch and love seat at Macy's Furniture. It was more than we wanted to spend, but they're quality pieces and we hope to have them for a long time. We still think we got a decent deal because we signed up for the Macy's card and received a small discount, plus had year to pay them off interest free. While we were there we bought a large rug that was on clearance for a ridiculously good price for the size. </div>

Thanks ladies!

I may have to try that wood glue trick when we put everything together tomorrow. Only problem is, I'm notorious for attaching wrong pieces. If we decide to use wood glue, I'm leaving the assembly to H. Which really isn't a bad idea...

Our new sectional is 12 feet long. I lay on one end and H lays on the other. We're basically on opposite sides of the room when we watch TV. It's kind of weird, but it's the most comfortable couch ever.

Mine was custom ordered about 3 weeks before I started seeing H. It was delivered probably about 6 - 8 weeks after our first date. And it was like I custom ordered it just for him. Really was a little bizarre.

PS - Brit, love your sig pic. Looks like H is whispering naughties into your ear.

Britt - your pics are gorgeous! And your makeup looked awesome.

I too am in the "hard time getting boots to fit my calf" club, and my legs aren't even big. I finally measured them and looked online (since they genereally list the circumfrence). I had good luck at Macy's this way and ended up with normally $140 boots for $60ish after shipping.

I bought my first apt furniture all from Ikea. Then ended up pregnant a while later and the Ikea bed was horrible for being pregnant. I too love their storage stuff and have dressers/nightstands and other random stuff still hanging around.

As for weekend plans - we don't have much going on. I need to get STD's out. Next weekend is the huge Seattle wedding show, I'm so excited! There were 3 pages of vendors participating.

I used to have a smaller version of your couch, lls, and it was awesome! I left it behind when I moved up here, and now it's in my parent's basement. If they decide to rent their place, it'll have to go ... :-(
