    Did anyone ever watch that show "The Marriage Ref' when it was on?  H and I were watching an episode and the argument they were having was over their boston terrier that they had stuffed.  Ever since that show, H has been convinced that he wants to have our Boston stuffed when he dies.  Me, not so much.

    I just looked at the disk and I look huge. Plus it was extremely hot in the house and even though I was right next to the door and the window I was sweating like crazy. So I have big wet spots under my arms.

    Thanks everyone!  I am really proud of my dad.  My grandmother made this pillow, and my mom bought this teddy bear, which I think are also way cute.  And the cradle's name is "Precious Cargo"...  I'm sure by the time I have kids the novelty of being grandparents will have worn off and I won't get any adorable sentimental stuff!

    I know, I am just gobsmacked by it.  He said he ordered the plans and the wood right after he found out about the baby, and it took him 6 months to build.  To do the curvy pieces on the sides of the boat, he put each piece of wood in a pvc pipe, poured boiling water in the pipe, and then it was flexible enough to bend around the frame.  A labor of love for sure.

    I'm very anxious. I was having lots of contractions last night and I thought that last night was going to be it. We will see how my appointment goes on Tuesday.

    Yeah, my brother had the idea of getting a small brass plaque engraved with his baby's name on it, and then adding a plaque for every baby who sleeps in the cradle.

    Do you have to be induced or c-sectioned? Are you planning on meds or no? My first was with an epi, but my second was au natural. <div>(You can tell me its none of my business!!)</div>

    My OB won't talk about an induction until I'm overdue. Which is fine because I don't want that or a C-Section. He has found that if a body is not ready to be induced it just leads to an emergency c-section which most people don't want. I want to go au natural but we will see. My family doesn't believe I can handle going without pain killers.

    I'm sure they will be, because a baby can only use this cradle until it can roll over.  That's what, like 3 months?  4?

    But he's already talking about making one for me when I have kids, so both of us can have an heirloom to pass down.  So that would be awesome if he does.  But I'm not having kids for like 3 more years, so who knows.

    That's awesome.  I'm sure he loved making it, and probably just figured he has set the bar high for himself for when you have kids.  You might get one that actually floats in the bathtub too!
