Anyone besides me hate this "new Knot look"?

I really am disappointed in The Knot! Whatever happened to the old saying "if it isn't broke, don't fix it"? To me they are just making it SO commercial. IMO they should have left it alone!

    I'm 100% with you on this one. I had a million load issues before and now it's worse! Their programmers should be fired. Terrible.

    Ok, I have a love hate moment here. I abosutely hate how the video works now. It makes it much harder to turn off or load the page without any video at all.
    On the other hand... thank god they finally updated the page to be more like the nest! I love the option to quote someone, as well as how it makes posting hyperlinks and pictures sooooo much easier!

    If you right click the board name and open it in a new window you can get rid of the knot tv.  I think the siggys are messed up if you have [url] in it.  It has to be html.
    Do we have a mod?  I thought the mods of all the boards were supposed to give out all the fun info on the new format.

    Actually it's a glitch in their update (<a href="http://forums.theknot.com/Sites/theknot/Pages/Main.aspx/wedding-boards_etiquette_new-look" target="_blank">see info about the new look from Knot Jen here</a>) and if you follow their instructions, you'll get your latest siggy back with out having to recreate it.

    At the top of the page, right click on Columbus and the choose open in a new tab or open in a new window.  This should make the knot tv go away.  then bookmark so you don't have to do it again!

    I HATE IT TOO!  The video section takes up half of my computer screen.  They're going to have to do something about this.  It's awful!  Load time is 10 times worse than before.  ugh!

    How do you go and look at all the threads with posts you've made?  You used to be able to just click the icon with the four lines on it to see which threads you've commented on.  Is there a way to do that in this new format?  If not, I protest!!!  lol

    I'm guessing they got rid of that feature considering thebump and thenest do not have it.

    Try clicking on the magnifying glass under you name (by the reply & quote buttons).  I *think* that is what that button is for.

    Agreed! This is horrible. It takes forever for pages to load and I don't think it is as user friendly. BRING BACK THE OLD KNOT!!!!!

    Sorry ladies... they had similar backlash on the nest when they changed the look over a year ago (maybe 2 years ago now) and they never changed anything back to the old version. I agree that I wish they would get rid of the knot tv, I've always hated that thing and the new set up with it is even worse. But for quite some time now I've been opening knot message boards without any of the other crap advertising (as instructed above).
    All I've got to say is, don't give up on the knot completely yet. You'll get used to it in time and find that a few (not all) of the changes you'll really like.

    BrittBritt- Thanks for explaining how the get the annoying tv off the screen! 
    I'm now getting used to some of the features, but it might take awhile for me to say I actually like the changes.

    i hate it a lot. it is hard to view, takes awhile to load... yes it looks nicer on my widescreen monitor width wise, but i can barely read the posts because the stupid video that i always hate is too large up top and refuses to turn off!
