Even though my wedding is still a year away, I am starting to get baby brain (don't tell FI!). Are you and your FI planning on having little ones? How soon after the wedding? I know some of the ladies on the board already have kiddos -- do you think you'll add to your family post-wedding?

Uh....me too lol. You are not alone! I had to legit stop myself from buying this onsie I saw at Von Maur the other day because I really didn't want to look nuts.

We want babies right away! I'm hoping to see the fertility doctor as soon as we get back from our honeymoon!

Already working on baby making, but decided we should take a break after next month and get on birth control so I am not 9 months preggo on our wedding day. We will start back up trying a few months before the weddng. My Mom bought us a bassinette after dating 2 years! We have been together 8 1/2 and still no kids lol. Talk about crazy! I have a friend who is setting clothes aside for me too. Baby is gonna be spoiled before it is even conceived!

I'm one of the brides with a child already, and the shop is closed lol! I know he wants another -"think about it, a little girl that looks just like him!"- but I never planned to even have one, so I don't see it happening.

Don't get me wrong, I was spoiled with a super-easy pregnancy and our son is perfect, but I'm not testing the fates!

ETA: Good luck to all of you ladies planning to have babies! There is absolutely no better feeling than being a mom...to me, anyway

I think about it a lot!!! My friend is getting married this October and she said she would wait until after my wedding to get pregnant (I didn't ask her to do that) so we could have kids around the same age lol!

My FMIL has been talking about babies for 2 years now ( we have been together for 4). Now that we are engaged and getting married in about a year, we have talked about it alot more. We both want to have children almost immediately. I have a twin sister who is not yet engaged, but had been dating her bf for 5 years (so hopefully they will marry soon) and I dont want to be pregnant for her wedding. So once we figure that out, it is onto baby making !

@Ellie- I thought about doing the same thing...and then quickly walked away from the baby section and talked sense into myself ...for now!

I am one of the brides with a LO already (he is 13 months now) and I have baby fever again BAD. But we have desided to wait till after we get married to start trying. I will be almost 32 when we get married so more than likely just one more and done. But trust me ladies LOs change things...enjoy your time together for a little while.

We obv already have two little girls. Another is still up on the air, we both want another but as our kids get easier out of the baby stage I'm starting to question if we are done. We are still young though and have lots of time to decide if we want another. At least 2 yrs after the wedding if we do

I am one of the moms already too. My son is from a previous relationship. FI and I do plan to have kids. We actually haven't been preventing it for about 6 months but I also have PCOS so chances of conceiving on our own are slim but yes we do want kids together. I do have my days where I say I don't want more because I wanted my kids close in age and that wont be happening my son will be starting school next year (he will be 4 in November) so I would be starting all over.

We've actually decided not to have kids. We had that discussion very early on and we were both so relieved to find out neither of us had any interest in being a parent. Some people around us don't get it and think we'll change our minds, but we're pretty adamant. We'll just be good to the kids around us without the full-time responsiblity.

FI can go either way on kids. I have a 13 year old will be 14 by the time we get married. FI would like to have one together but it's not a deal breaker if we don't. I am just not sure about starting all over again with another one when I will have one in high school.

I've never had the whole baby fever thing. Not once. FI eventually wants kids. I'm meh on the subject. If we have babies it will still be quite a few years down the road.

Kids are hard work. I'm a teacher. Before I started teaching I wanted like 5 kids. Now I just want two. Don't get me wrong, I love my kiddos and I love teaching... but boy are kids exhausting!

We have a little nephew so we're lucky. We get to have a cutie pie around when we want to and then we can give him back to his parents. We're also young (23, will be 24 at the wedding). We've been together 5 years but want to travel, spend time together, etc. before having kids. We both want them though. Just not now
