Memorial Day Weekend Wedding ~ When should I sent out my invites?

They're just about ready to go!  All I have to do is put stamps on the envelopes and seal them!  Is it too early though?  I sent out save-the-dates in September.  My r.s.v.p. date is April 12th because we sorta have a "b" list (I know, it's horrible) and we need extra time in case we get enough 'no's to give invites to the "b" list people.  I can wait until mid March I guess...what do you guys think?

I don't think it's too early!  I plan on sending my invites out about 3 months before my wedding because I'll also have a "b-list."  It's not horrible (at least IMO) -- a lot of people do it!  You'll need that time to see who RSVPs before sending out the 2nd round of invites, so I say send them now if you want.

I would wait till closer to the end of March.

The problem with an early RSVP date is people wind up changing their RSVP.  I had mine 2 weeks before my wedding and still wound up with a ton of changes (both add ons and deletes).

Well I can't change my RSVP date since the response cards are already printed out and in the envelopes...All I can do is just wait a week or two to mail out my invitations, but I can't wait longer than that because I need to give guests at least a month to respond...Are they gonna get the invitation and be like, "Why are they making us respond so early???"

If you send out now then yes people will know why you are doing that.  Send them out in 2 weeks especially since you already did a std

Give a month, so send them out on March 10th or so.

I say do what works best for you! Who cares what the "yes" people think, you need to do for you!  Mine are going out early too because its a summer wedding and people live far.

I'm getting married the same weekend! Yeyey :)

I'm shooting for March 15th exactly.  My RSVP is April 30th though, one month prior.

I agree I would send them out March 15th. That way you have time for the "B" list invites.

Honestly, it doesn't matter when you send them out because a lot of people will send them back late anyhow!  All the ones I got in the beginning were the yes responses.  A lot of the No's came in right under the wire or late.   Personally, I would wait until mid-march because if you send them out too early, they sit on somebody's desk and they never get sent back because you give them too much time.

I totally care about what my guests think....

That being said, I agree with the March 15 girls, only because your RSVP is early...as you get no's send out B list...

Thanks everyone!  I think I'll wait closer to mid-March like most of you suggested.  I did send out save the dates after all so everyone knows when the wedding is anyway.
