March 2012 Weddings

guest book alternative... pics and a poll :) - UPDATED

FI and I decided we wanted to use one of our e-pics as our guestbook... have it printed in poster size, either 16x20 or 20x30, and have everyone sign it at the wedding instead of a book.  Then we intend to frame it and hang it in the house... but we're having trouble choosing a picture that we love (we pretty much love all of our e-pics!)  and that we think the signatures will show up well on.

ETA:  I plan on just using black ink... maybe the Sharpie fine tip markers

So we've narrowed it down to 4, and now I need some help deciding

option 1

option 2

option 3

option 4

  • I say number 2! :)
    However, I love them all!
I just think 2 will look so pretty framed afterward

  • I picked number 2 as well.  Such beautiful pictures but am loving the pops of color  number 2 has, but either one you can't go wrong.  However, if you went with a black and white one, it would be pretty to find metallic pens in your wedding colors and use those to add some color.
  • I voted for #1 because I think the landscape orientation is better and I would prefer the signatures to stand out.

I think it really depends on what you want to be the focus once it's all said and done, though. Should it be a picture with signatures on it or signatures with a photo behind them?

If you're more interested in the picture standing out, I would go with #2. If you're more interested in the signatures standing out, I wuold go with #1.

  • I like either black and white one...I think the signatures will stand out more!  #1 or #3 would look so nice framed afterwards!

<div>i agree if you plan on using different color pens then go with the black and white ones but if you plan on using just black pen-go with 2</div>

  • I'm the odd man out lol. I love how bright the colors in #4 are and think that will look great framed with the signatures on it.

  • I love all of them! But I chose #1, because you guys are closer in the picture and because it will be easier to see signatures on the black & white picture IMO. :)

I voted for #3 but... I think this is exactly what we need to know!  And after looking at them all again I think 4 might be the best because it won't overwhelm the signatures but the picture is still a beautiful color!  So i take back my vote on 3.  :)

    Still here and still fabulous!

  • Well ladies, I shared your feedback with DF and he thought about it and picked #1 as his favorite... and since he has deferred to me for so many of the other wedding decisions, I let him have this one :)

Obviously, I really love pic #2 as well (helloooo siggy), so I may have to get that one printed and framed for somewhere else in the house
