March 2012 Weddings

Are we doing enough for our guests? LONG

Last night FI got a phone call from a friend that we invited.  He said that he booked!  So officially I think this is the 3rd person to book (one is a bridesmaid and his sister booked already!)  ... but I don't know after hearing that I just got super nervous that we aren't doing enough for our guests...

I just keep telling myself it's Vegas and supposed to be easy but I'm just WAY to concerned about what everyone is going to think. All I am planning is wedding ceremony and a dinner afterwards.

Here is the rundown of the Wedding Day (from the guests perspective):

4ish - depending on if family or friends what time they should be there, we want to do family pictures then a couple of group pictures of everyone that makes it.
4:45 - Limo picks us all up from picture  location to take us to wedding chapel
5:30 - Wedding ceremony / any additional pictures inside or outside of chapel
6:15 -  back in the limo (champagne toast/beer in limo?) to dinner
6:45/7 - We are doing dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe
MENU
Starter -Fresh House Side Salad

Choice of Entrée
Full Rack of Bar-B-Que Ribs Served with Seasoned Fries, Coleslaw, & BBQ Baked Beans
Grilled Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon Side of Vegetable Confetti Rice and Fresh Vegetables
New York Strip Steak Served with Smashed Potatoes and Fresh Vegetables
Grilled Chicken Marsala Served on a bed of Romano Parsley Pasta with Grilled Ratatouille

Twisted Mac & Cheese Pasta tossed in a lightly spiced 3-cheese sauce, topped w/grilled chicken, served w/ garlic toast

Dessert - Chef’s Choice of Dessert

Alcoholic beverages: 2 drink tickets….Ok so we are only doing 2 drink tickets because we are pretty much going to eat then go out.....

FI thinks that this is enough but  I need re-assurance though I feel like i'm going crazy...

  • I think it seems like enough!
  • Sounds like enough to me.

  • I just feel like - Really people are going to fly all the way to Vegas for a 15 minute ceremony some pictures and a meal?  I don't know I guess.  I'm just stressing about something stupid... Thanks for the reassurance!

I think it will be great! They want to be there to share that with you!
If you don't feel like it's enough - maybe do some OOT bags, or write a note to each guest that you really appreciate them being there.

But I think it will be great, don't worry :)

  • Sounds like enough to me...plus, if you want...look at it as a mini vacation for some who needed one...but the main event is your special day!!

  • I agree it's enough.  Having some OOT bags would be a great gesture too.  I also think 2 drink tickets is enough because some people might not even want more than a drink so they could give it to someone else.  I wish that was an option for us!
