Venue for Low Budget

I need some serious help. My fiancee and I are getting married in July and I've been unable to book a venue yet. We have a seriously low budget and I know I can't have a posh wedding for that, but I think it's feasible to still have a decent affair for that. It will be a small, intimate wedding of 60 ppl so $5K should be ok for that.

I've already saved a ton on my wedding dress at only $170 (it's gorgeous), and the bridal party are paying for their own outfits. I've been looking diligently for a month (he proposed last month) and I'm running out of time. Do any of you know any NYC venues that would be able to host the ceremony and reception for our big day? Please help. I'm close to tears with how stressful this situation is.

Hey there.. I use to be a planner for couples with lower budgets and there are a few things you can do to save money.. you can def have a wedding for 5K or under

check out the following vendores..

202 East...beautiful space and can easily fit your guest and budget.. space for the ceremony and reception if its converted .. ( i know cause i held a luncheon there) and they have a kitchen so you can bring in your own caterer which will save you money if you check out local resturants instead of caterers and have them drop off the food in trays .. 202 has servers you can hire i believe

also consider a brunch instead of full dinner reception! and look at resturants.. seriously hit me up if you want i can totally help you with location research!

I suggest Riccardo's.

I did my engagement party at Dante's and though it was ok, the service wasn't too good.

Riccardo's would definitely fit your budget with their wedding pacakages.

Check out Roulette - http://roulette.org/about/space-rental/ - It's a hidden gem. There's some beautiful Art Deco interiors with a DIY wedding approach. Any and all caterers allowed. No need for decorations as the place shines by itself.

I have a great contact in Riverdale, NY which would be fantastic.

I'll help you with it - my family had a wedding there and I'm doing my bridal shower & rehearsal dinner there. Going out of NYC is your best bet at this point.

I think a sunday brunch would be ideal and they have a beautiful garden to get married in and the main restaurant is gorgeous, so you don't have to buy decor, just flowers.
