   As PPs have said, I used a combo of local board reviews, wedding wire, wedding channel, TK and that tried and true friend "my gut".    We picked a DJ our friends had a good experience with and we had enjoyed the wedding. For me, personal recommendations by people who knew our taste were key.

   We looked at suggestions on our local board and reviews on weddingwire. We ended up talking to and booking just one DJ, because his prices were so much lower than the rest of the competition.

   I scoured my local board for DJ recommendations. I picked the one that seemed to come up most often and booked him! We never met him, only talked over phone. I am totally confident he will do a fantastic job and don't have any regrets.
