   I have a 2 year old on my caseload. I don't know anything about 2 year olds. I will mostly be checking to make sure that the child is up to speed developmentally and working on play skills. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good resources I can use? Online is best but if there are good books I can look for them at…

   All you need to know is that 2 year olds are basically tiny drunk assholes. Just treat them as such and you'll be fine.

   I don't think it really matters. At 2 years old, they should be starting "pretend play" so anything is a possibility. Taryn likes: dolls, dinosaurs, stuffed animals, animals, puzzles, blocks, stickers, crayons, etc. Maybe you could make a small play kit? Stickers, crayons and a coloring book, a few animal figurines, maybe…

   My niece is 2. I know she started saying some words and she could def point at something when you said it. Like "where is mommy?" or where is the doggy?" Stuff like that. She is 2.5 now and can say sentences and express some feelings. She could also hold a crayon, although awkwardly. She started saying no and stop it too.…

   What to expect has a version for toddlers that breaks it down month by month for the parent or provider with developmental milestones, cognitive, motor....the whole range. My daughter was born at 28 weeks, so her developmental goals were a little different, so I'm afraid I am not much help in that department.

   Well I know at least some of our autistic students are on the Carolina Curriculum at our school, and many of the intellectually delayed students as well. It pretty much is just a list of benchmarks with months/years by it. You establish where the child is based on the benchmark criteria and then work on subsequent criteria…
