   Just host one reception. If you're asking your family to bring food it's not really hosting them anyways. It can add up money wise for all of that food too.So, either host the reception right after you get married or do an at home reception (no dress, first dance, etc) where ever you two will call home.All the best and gl!

   I'm also in a LDR. We're doing one reception. Although, it made more sense for us because his family is, generally speaking, in one location (which also happens to be where we're planning on settling down). My family, on the other hand, is not. (CA, CO, NJ, NY, TX, MN, PA, Canada, and Germany.)
