1. 1940's Theme

   My fiance and I are planning a 1940's-ish wedding theme. We're going to use ivory, champagne, gold, and black for our colors but I need some ideas!

   Are you doing WWII 1940's? If so, I think a woman on the military page is planning the same thing.

   We're doing the same theme. My FI is a big WWII buff so we're using different towns/battles during the war as our table names. Black feathers and diamond/crystal accents where we can.

   I had a similar theme for my wedding..I adore this period. Some of the best inspiration, for us anyway, came from films from this time period.    Well I don't know for sure but I think we're going for more of an old Hollywood theme than a WWII theme. I wanted to do something fun an original for the save the dates and possibly the invitations but I'm so clueless as to what to do! The theme was more my fiance's idea than mine.

   Well we're doing good as far as music goes i.e. Frank Sinatra and Loius Armstrong. My biggest worry is decorations and favors.
