Photographers

Hi fellow Tucson and Arizona Brides!  I'm in need of some help/advice.  I was wondering if anyone could give some opinions on photographers, and prices if that is not too personal of a question.  I really don't know where to start and as far as budget goes I don't want to set a budget for our photographer until I know what prices generally rage.  I feel I can always move the budget around and put more towards photography and less towards something else. Hope this makes sense and thanks again for the help and suggestions!  Happy planning to everyone!

Re: Photographers

  • I haven't booked mine yet but I can tell you what I've discovered so far in my research. Price varies a lot depending on if you want copyrights to pictures, how long you want them for, and any other prints after the wedding.  I haven't seen much less than 1000 (there's a few in the 800 range), and if it is, it tends to be for 4-5 hours and you may not get copyrights or all of the pictures in the end. I've seen some go up to 2k easily which usually is whole day coverage and may or may not give copyrights.  A lot tend to include an engagement shoot or will add it on for not too much.  Something else to consider (and I still am) is looking in Phoenix which is a bigger market. Some are willing to travel for not too much more and you might be able to find a great deal.

  • I haven't booked yet either, but I think I am set on Shaun with SunStreet Photography. He quoted us at $2,500 for 7-8 hours of coverage, 2 photographers, a photo booth, and a DVD with copyright privileges. It doesn't include an album, but he said those are around 1-2,000. We are also doing an engagement shoot for $300. I've prices out some other places too and I haven't been able to find much for under 2,500. Hope this helps! Let me know if you want other price quotes from places.
  • Thanks guys for your advice!  @StephanieDAc I will definitely look into SunStreet Photography.  All this planing can get a bit confusing thanks again for the help!

  • Hello!

I'm not sure if you've booked a photographer yet, but we used Anita Shay Photography.  She is wonderful.  For just over $2000 we got 10 hours of photography, 2 photographers, an engagement shoot, a a gallery with copyright priveleges.  Her photos are beautiful as well.  Please let me know if you have any more questions!

  • @kcs0701 Thanks for the advice, I haven't booked a photographer yet and just took a look at the website and really like everything I saw.   Thanks again for the help!

  • You're so welcome! She is so sweet and I hope it works out! Let me know if you need any other recommendations as I loved everyone we worked with (and we were definitely on a budget).
