OMG. That is very interesting and cool. And I know that probably makes me sound like a sociopath, but whatevs. Much better than trying to learn human anatomy from a rat.

As an aside, I have a disgusting story about my A & P lab from a year or two ago. During our practical, I finished my little question station to look up and see a girl pick up a sheep heart WITH HER BARE HANDS. Then LOOK AT IT and TURN IT OVER. Then SET IT DOWN and PLAY WITH HER HAIR. There was no hand sanitizer involved during the process. This girl is now in her second year of the nursing program. I hope to God she paid attention during the handwashing portion of the class because holy shit, ew.

Because ain't nobody got time to lurk, apparently. I think people just see the questionnaire, think, "Ooh! Fun!", and fill it out without considering what this board is really about. On the one hand, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and try to be welcoming/gentle (or least not say anything if I can't be somewhat nice). I think there's a kind way to say just about everything, so I always try to start with that.

HOWEVER, on the other, there is some etiquette to this. I wouldn't just join a club/church/whatever or start talking to a random group of people without knowing a little bit about them first, so I don't understand why the same shouldn't apply to the internet. If I hadn't lurked for a long time before I started posting, I would have had my ass handed to me by just about every reg on here, because I was seeeeriously BSC pre-TK. I thought these boards were way too harsh and actually vowed to myself that I would never post on here; but the more I thought about pre-planning, pressuring your BF to propose, and all the other subjects that come up here regularly, I had to admit that it all made sense. So here I am, and with the help of a lot of folks here, I'm realizing that I really had a near-miss in my past relationship. Being a part of this community has actually helped me develop a thicker skin, confidence in my own thoughts and feelings, and the ability to think critically and make solid decisions in my life. Even when it stings a little, I think the advice on this board is excellent, and I wish more folks would read it FIRST, consider it for a while, and THEN decide whether they want to be a part of it or not. It just makes sense to me.

I do! But I never watch it on Wednesday because I can't stay up for the whole thing because I am an old lady who needs her beauty rest.

I watched the fist few episodes of Coven. I loved it but it was so scary. And DH doesn't like scary stuff so I'm way behind. I want to watch the Stevie Nicks cameo episode. Did it happen yet?

I'm not as into it this season as I was other seasons, I'm watching and waiting to see how it all ends though.

I'm just sitting on the couch snuggling with BF and listening to Christmas music.  I can't stop listening to it.  I put up the tree the other day and I'm still so happy it's finally up.

I naaaaaapped. I don't feel too much better.

The birdo is super happy that mommy is awake, though. He's only ever 100% happy if both of us are in the living room with him, so he wasn't very happy when I left to go sleep. I came back, and then went into the kitchen to get more juice, and the bird was sitting on the sofa in my usual spot, waiting for me.

@Swazzle larger parrots can have very big personalities! My guy is a tiny parakeet, so he's pretty easy to manage. He also can't do much damage, to either the apartment or to our poor fingers.
