Why doesn't anyone seem to like my ring? Please be honest!

Sure the way she got proposed to is unusual, but what I meant was that this person and her husband seem happy and it shouldn't matter what other people think about the rings. But if SHE doesn't like it then i would say sure change it. As long as they have the financial means and everything there is nothing wrong with doing that. And as far as I go, my fiancee and I have worked it out and we decided that we are going to wait to get a new ring.

If there are this many problems over the ring then you're in for a rude awakening when any real problems test your marriage. The selection of the ring should not be so dramatic. What happens when you run into an actual problem? You know one that doesn't involve something materialistic...this is all very ridiculous and shallow.

I read some of this, PPs already mentioned things I would of said. BUT just to point out. The only ones that have oo'd and aww'd over my ring has been my family and his family. Not friends, not strangers on the road. That's it. My mom is obsessed with it and she still oo's over it (been almost a yr since proposal) but that's because she's never seen a two toned engagement ring. So, don't think people don't like it because they don't say anything about it... it's just old news by now.
