Bridesmaid dress question

Hi ladies,

So, I'm in the beginning stages of planning, and I really want my girls to pick their own dresses, with a few guidelines...I really want short, knee length dresses in Navy blue. However, I'm getting married in December...is it inappropriate to have short bridesmaid dresses?

The only thing that is "appropriate" is that you and your fiancee like the end results AND that your girls feel comfortable.  If both of these are a yes, then you're good to go!

I wouldn't say it is inappropriate. But I do think it would be rude to ask them to stand outside for pictures or anything like that.

I don't think it's rude at all. Even if they wore long dresses, chances are the dresses would be sleeveless so they'd still be chilly! Pick what you want, it's your day!
