Re: I Came Back!

  • @Shiroyasha - I've been meaning to get to Vegas forever now!! I've never been and think it'd be awesome to go with a big group of people!

  • @melmac I always feel like the more the merrier when we go to Vegas.  It's tons of fun although it can be very expensive.  Which means I probably should start saving soon.

  • @shiroyasha - which hotel has been your favorite that you've stayed at?

  • I haven't stayed in many, since I tend to frequent the same hotels.  I've just stayed in the Luxor, the Venetian (which is my favorite of my adult visits there), the Imperial Palace (which is gone, thank goodness. That was horrible), the Las Vegas Hotel, a timeshare way off the strip.  I stayed in the Mandalay Bay when I was like 13 and I would love to stay there again.  My bucket lists of Vegas hotels are the Mandalay Bay, Ceasar's Palace, The Venetian, the Palazzo, Aria, the Cosmopolitan and the Bellagio.  All of them are really expensive, but I would like to stay in each one someday.

  • @Shiroyasha - it's nice to get input from people who've actually stayed in these places, so thanks for the info!! I may try to plan a weekend trip out that way for much later in the year :)

I'm new here too but I thought I would play along. Welcome back!

    1. What was your favorite holiday gift you received this past season? Favorite one you gave?

Tickets to see Lady Antebellum! (Another country fan here) Favorite one I gave was probably the first 2 seasons of Criminal Minds on DVD to my fiance. It's our favorite show and now we can watch it all the time.

    2. What are you most looking forward to in 2014?

My study abroad trip to Ireland, starting my final year of undergrad, more wedding planning

    3. If you could go to any concert right now, what would you pick? Lets say a non-current artist or group is an option and money is not an issue.

The Band Perry (again) and Jason Aldean are the two big ones on my list right now (So happy Jason just announced a new tour). And Taylor Swift, because I'd see her a million times if given the chance. (No hate please, haha)

    4. You go to a bar and they're out of your favorite beer or wine - what mixed drink or cocktail do you order?

    Lynchburg Lemonade

    5. Do you have any vacations planned for this year?

Not really a vacation, but I'm spending 4 weeks in Ireland on a study abroad trip. And most likely a trip to Texas in August for a friend's wedding.

    6. What is one of your top embarrassing moments?

I can't think of any recent ones but one that always sticks out is the time in 2nd grade when my skirt fell down in front of the whole class. (Must have been pretty traumatic because I still remember it, haha)

    7. Are you thinking of adding any furbabies to your family in the near future?

My fiance and I have one dog right now. I really want to get him a "brother" or "sister" but I know it's probably not the best idea.

    8. What show are you most addicted to right now?

Love my Grey's Anatomy, plus Criminal Minds. I'm also starting to watch New Girl on Netflix (late to the party, I know)

ETA: How could I forget Jack Johnson of people I want to see in concert? It seems like he's so hard to see live, but it's probably partially because Michigan sucks.

  • @Riss2893 - Yay for country music fans! My sister and I went to Taylor Swift's "Speak Now" tour, which was AMAZING. I was shocked at how much the concert was more than a concert, with the amount of production and effort that went into the different stage sets. It was very entertaining.
