Any other "old" brides?

Re: Any other "old" brides?

  • Now I feel really old.  I was 38, just shy of my 39th birthday when I got married last year.

  • I'm 32 and I will be getting married (in 9 days, woohoo) two weeks before my 33rd birthday.

  • I'm 37...I'm the oldest.  Oh no!
  • I'm almost 33, but I got married one month shy of 29.

Nope, I was 38 when I got married last year (just before my 39th).  The big 40 now.

  • My FI will be turning 41 the day before our wedding. And trust me, he's not old.

My DH was 50 when we got married!! He definitely out paces me in many ways :)

I was 30 when DH and I met, 31 when we got engaged, and 32 when we got married. I'll turn 33 this year, in late summer.

DH is 31 -- turning 32 next week, but he loves, loves, LOVES to remind me that he's "younger" than I am.

First marriage for both of us, though he was engaged prior to meeting me.

Also, at almost 33, if I don't wear a little eye make-up, I routinely get mistaken for a high school student. (It probably doesn't help that I wear jeans and trainers to work every day, because I can).
ETF maths errors. DH is 31, almost 32.

  • im 30, FI is 25 :)

  • I just turned 34 last week and we're getting married this year. I don't feel old, it feels right! Of most of our friends, less than half are married.

But I feel like I know myself better now than when I was younger, even at 30!

I think we find the right man to marry when it's the right time. Cliche but true at any age you're getting married.

I was 38 when I got married, 2 months away from 39. My husband is 4 years younger.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • I'm 34, got married at 32.  DH is 9 years older than me.

  • FI and I are both 28. He turns 29 just 2 days before our wedding, and I turn 29 the day after.

People always seem to think that I'm either much older or much younger than I am. Though with my hair being bright blue at the moment, it's leaning more to the much younger!

  • I'll be the oldest, I think-I'll have just turned 47 when we get married (my 1st), and FI will be 56 (his second)
  • I don't consider myself to be old! I'm 29, but will turn 30 ten days before our wedding.

  • I am currently 28, I'll be a month shy of my 29th birthday when we get married in May.  FI will be 38, and this a first marriage for the two of us. :)

And we too have seats in our stand alone shower...we have had powow meetings in there while we both sit in the shower.  They are kind of awesome :)

  •       You are so far from old it's not funny. I will be 44 or 45 when I get married, we haven't decided on a date yet. It's my first wedding too! I am just picky and had other things to do besides get married :)

  • Ok, so I know I'm not "old", but a many of the girls here seem to be 22-24! I'm 29 (turning 30 next week!) and getting married later this year. Anyone else?
Yikes! I will be 38 when I get married for the first time! You are no where close to being "old".
  • I'll be almost 27, and FI is turning 39 a month after we get married.

I got married at 38 and was nowhere near old. H was 30 at the time, and I definitely give him a run for his money. First time for both.
  • I'm 36, getting married in 3 weeks (oh shit, that's close!). FI is 35, and will be 36 at the end of May.
  • I'll be 34 when we get married, first marriage for both of us, and boy am I happy I waited for him! :)
  • I will be 32 when we get married, my bride will be 40.

  • I'm 35 and will be when we marry this year.  My father will walk me down the aisle so I don't fall and break my hip.  As we all know, it is harder to heal from a break in our old age.

  • If anyone feels old at 30...you're doing it wrong.
  • I am apparently 32 (I just had to use a calculator to figure it out - I'm so old I forget how old I am) and I will be getting married the day before my 33rd birthday.  I'm 6 months older than FI.

BUT, I look so young that I get mistaken for a teenager all the time. It's the baby pug nose.

  • I'm 29, turning 30 soon, and wedding is a week before my 31 birthday. My FI and I have been together over 7 years, so there's definitely a lot of people out there who have made comments about why aren't we married yet we're getting old. My mom was 33 and her and my dad had been together 8 years upon their wedding.
