@Hummingbird125 I left my last company (I was there 11+ years) for a job that paid less but I knew I would be much happier at.  I'm still able to make ends meet (it's harder I'll admit).

I'm feeling much better - just out of it (brain fog).  How is it not 4pm yet - I really want to go home and take a nap!!!!

Is it Friday yet?  The weather is gross here.  I was planning to head to northwest Indiana today, but the snow is completely awful there and traffic is at a standstill.  So there's now way I could get to any customers there today.  Trying to figure out how to re-route my day now. Yuck.

One of my co-workers is in town so we're hitting up a barre class tonight.  At least that's something to look forward too!

@lmhollister - what about your BM's dresses?  guys' suits/tuxes?  I love the inspiration pics for the flowers you shared...  they are GORGEOUS.

@CocoBellaF I have zero idea on what the guys will wear lol! What did everyone else do? Did you shop with your H at all? I feel like FI won't go on his own but it seems unfair? to ruin the surprise of whatever he is wearing too. Plus I kind of want to have some input...maybe that makes me a control freak. I dunno. I think I'd prefer the guys in either black or charcoal and maybe maybe faint pinstripes.

For the girls we're going with Alfred Angelo because they're pretty affordable and they have the color I want. I think what we'll do is go shopping at the store in March and narrow it down to three dresses for everyone to choose from. I only care that the dress is long and chiffon and burnt orange.

@Hummingbird125, all the vibes for the job interview! Finding something you love (and that commute *drool*) is very important - as long as you can make ends meet, it sounds awesome.

My class got cancelled this morning due to snow, so I slept in a bit, got up, and sloooooowwwwly started working on reading for Pediatrics, which starts next week. I dunno, maybe it's just the boredom of winter session talking, but I'm kind of excited for the new challenge. Kids are a mystery to me, but I do enjoy them (mostly), so I think this will be a fun class.

I was supposed to go see a friend of mine from high school tonight - we were gonna go have dinner near his apartment. But he lives like 40 minutes away (that's WITHOUT beltway traffic), and while I'm not one to completely flip out about snow, I will admit that being that far away from home after it's been coming down all day doesn't sound appealing. =/ I dunno, I think we may have to reschedule, which sucks, because it's already been way too long.

I definitely have the blah again today. My back is killing me!!!!

I've been taking care of sicko yickos since Saturday, I actually swung by the grocery store on my lunch to pick up stuff to make homemade chicken noodle soup for dinner.

Poor C is miserable. He's roughing it out but you can tell he doesn't have much energy. We didn't even make it through the full two hr season finale of sleepy hollow.

Work is busy, but I'm over bitchy coworkers. Our temps last day is Friday and she is just getting on my nerves. Like, I get you don't want to be here and you're feeling crappy but shut the fuck up. I have to do three times the work now, thanks.

I just want to go home and snuggle on the couch with C and sleep.

Back at work today ... I've been having a lot of trouble sleeping, so I couldn't fall asleep till maybe 4 or 5, which meant I slept till 11 by accident. Meeting with my PI in about 30 minutes. I'm hoping that he'll have me redo my Western BUT let me start working on my cell lines (the results are basically, "Yes, the cell lines can be used!" except the results are dirty looking and need to be cleaner.

I'm also proctoring an exam from 1:30-4:30 for a student who destroyed his leg last semester and took an incomplete. The good thing is that I can be in and out of the room while proctoring, so I can still deal with my cells and get other work done (and hopefully grab coffee).

I had a fight with my partner last night, mostly over nothing. I've been in such a bad place with grad school, so the apartment is disgusting. Having a messy apartment makes me feel worse, which makes it harder to clean, which makes me feel worse ... you get the picture. He promised to clean the apartment, and he kept saying how it would be nice to relax and get some wedding planning done this weekend. And then he spent almost the entire weekend hanging out with friends (yes--almost the entire three-day weekend). So he got home, then I cried and went into the bedroom to binge watch Bones, and then we made up.

I'm going to try to finish up week 1 of C25K this week. Last week, I was doing pretty well, except that I worked too late on Friday to make it to the gym before it closed. With my WOE IS ME crap this weekend, I didn't really leave the apartment, so I couldn't finish out the week. This week, I'm going to do Tuesday and Thursday, and do week 1 days 2 and 3. I haven't found the week 1 workouts to be terribly challenging, and I think redoing the entire week (again) might be demoralizing. Hopefully I stick with it!

@lmhollister - I LOVE that orange color.  H and I picked out the suits together, it was no big deal.  we went with khaki (summer wedding).

@Brisox81- AWW she is so cute! My puppy fever exists everyday and it won't go away until I get one!!! I want a golden so bad!! I'm going to steal Cinders @lmhollister along with her sibling. I'm about to go crazy for some puppy love.

rehearsal is cancelled for tonight, so yay snowed in for the rest of the day.  work is so slow today too.  Took my kitty to the vet yesterday he has crystals in his urine so we have to feed him prescription wet and dry food, which is super expensive.... No idea how we will separate his food out from the other three cats... sigh.... it's always something.

@allusive007 - I'm wishing/praying/hoping H suggests it himself. We haven't had a game in a while, though, so there's a very slim chance of that happening! 

@buddysmom80 - I am really upset with your mom for saying that to you. I think you looked incredible in all of the dresses you sent me pics of. 

@lmhollister - Those dresses are STUNNING! I absolutely love them. As for what the guys wore, H and I went together to decide on what he was going to wear and then he had his GM meet him there a couple weeks later. I happened to be out with H so I tagged along as well. They wore grey Calvin Klein tuxes from Men's Wearhouse. They have a special, if there are 5 rentals (I think) then either you can get the groom's rental for free or pay for his tux as well and he will receive a $500 suit for free. H desperately needed a new suit so we went that route. 

@BriSox81 - I really love the new table. And I love Vi the mostest. 

@Hummingbird125 - EVERYTHING is crossed!

Ok it just started snowing in Georgia out of nowhere. Cue the mad rush to the grocery store to buy all the bottled water and canned food. On a side note... Cinders has discovered she really enjoys chasing down snowflakes and eating them.

 Cue chaotic southern people who don't know what to do with themselves when it snows outside. The drive home should be interesting.

@buddysmom80 If we have even a 20% chance of snow people go nuts around here. This wasn't predicted but I don't think it's going to last. I just looked at the radar and what there is is pretty scattered and light. It was super pretty here for all of 10 minutes though.

Boston public schools will be closed tomorrow, and there's a parking ban after 6pm. It's very, very likely that the university will be closed tomorrow ... except that yours truly has a timepoint that's unavoidable!

@phira don't you know grad students never get snow days? I went to school in PA and there was a rumor that one time it snowed like two feet and they still had to come in. Thankfully I wasn't there.

(Still at work. Timepoint starts soon. Kind of want to make new media but I don't think my serum will thaw anytime before 8.)
