I am a student at a law school in uptown NYC. I also tutor an undergrad student at a different school in midtown. Midtown school canceled all their classes and transportation early this morning because we have about 6 inches right now. You know, the responsible thing to do. Uptown school still has not canceled classes, and just sent us an email that although they are closing most of the campus gates due to difficulties in snow removal, we are still expected to get to class.
The snow is coming down steady and fast, and I expect my commute (my class isn't until about 4) to be miserable. I will then be traveling home around 7pm, at which point the snow will probably be even worse.
Seriously. This school has people commuting from at least 4 boroughs of the city, CT, and NJ. Cancel the damn classes.
