I love doing my taxes!

Between mortgage interest and the lifelong learning credit, I got the most back I ever have this year! And put ALL of it right back to my student loans!  Money money money mon-ayyyy. 

(I also love going to bed early on Friday nights.)

Her name is 'Large Marge' (Margie, if you're on friendly terms with her), and she was a rock star in her day. Hands down the nicest car I've ever driven. And a total egg magnet for the little shits in the neighborhood.

We have some younger friends that keep inviting us to go to the bar at like 11 at night. We always just look at each other and say nahhh and go to sleep.

I know I'm getting old because now if I drink a soda too late at night, I feel like I was out drinking all night when I wake up. By late I mean 9 pm.

I was really excited that my apartment came with a washer/dryer in unit. That was a deal breaker for me.

Also irrationally excited about sleep.

So I bought a fancy sweatshirt online and when I got home today, it was waiting on my doorstep. BEST FRIDAY EVER.

I met a friend at one of the bars I used to go to in college and felt SUPER old. And this was only a couple of years after graduating (she was in grad school). When I was at my kid sister's HS graduation a couple years ago, I couldn't get over how baby-faced everyone was, especially the boys! I kind of felt like a perv. lol

@kmmssg - Yes! I *loved* my easy-bake-oven! I wouldn't be surprised if my mom still has it at her house! :P Although, I *still* don't know how we used to wait for cake to bake with a light bulb! Cake..always knows how to get us..

-Also, I'm happy to hear you love your Samsung set! I've heard mixed reviews on front-loaders, but nothing bad about Samsung brand specifically. I'm sooo excited! We bought our house back in December, and it was the only appliance that wasn't included. 

 I also got a Kitchenaid mixer this past Christmas, and absolutely *love* it! ! I'm actually currently using it to make a cake order I have for tomorrow. They're awesome! H and I agreed to only do small gifts this past Christmas, & guess what was all wrapped up Christmas morning???? Bad bad..LOL. (Sooo not complaining though)!

My FI is hanging out with a bunch of REALLY old guys at a HAM radio club event while I Knot and watch the Olympics with my stuffed dogs and this week's leftovers. We're super exciting!!  haha

No sympathy, ladies.  I'm 63 and proud of it!  I was miserable in my early twenties.  Wouldn't want to go back.

My fav years have been my mid-twenties! So much more to appreciate, and be excited for! It's just funny how priorities, and things you do get super excited for change!

 @Sugargirl1019 - The set was on sale at Home Depot! They didn't have any in stock, so Leon's price-matched it, & we bought them from there! (A lot of stores will price match if there's a sale on the exact model they also carry, at a different store). They can look it up online, or on the website. You don't necessarily need the flyer!

 Awesome, and congrats! House shopping is always fun! I know the sale here goes until Feb 26! (Home Depot).

 We also just bought our first home back in December, and they were the only thing the house didn't come with. I've been keeping an eye out on sales, & was *so* excited to see the price had dropped! I'm totally going to be like a kid waiting for the swing set to be built, while my H hooks them up! LOL.

You know you are getting older when you are looking forward to a weekend spent painting, or doing a project in the yard. Or when instead of getting in line early for concert tickets or the newest video game console, you line up at 7 am on a January morning for the bi-annual (yeah every other year) blow out furniture sale at your favorite store. Snagged some awesome danish chairs for the kitcken for only $70 a piece!

I am excited for my ravioli makers, I have put on my registry. And I found myself bragging about how comfortable my new sweatshirt is.  ( 5 years ago this girl would NEVER be caught dead in a sweatshirt.) I still can't bring myself to own a pair of sweatpants.  Sweatpants are so comfortable, it is almost like you are not wearing anything at all.  (that has to be a sin. lol.)

This is why God made yoga pants!  I have an entire yoga pants drawer.....

Know what else makes you feel older?

When you notice that between meds, vitamins, lotions, etc your HOTEL bathroom counter looks like Walgreen's or CVS.  Because these are your MUST use every day.

Oh yes, sweaters! When I was younger I wouldn't have been caught dead in a turtleneck or crew neck. Now it's my faaaavorite. 

Also needed white shoes for clinical at school, so I bought the comfiest grandpa-esque shoes I could find. I didn't quite go as far as getting velcro straps on them, but pretty close.
