I had one aunt and cousin who had already planned to be at the beach but other than that we are seeing some of the opposite because it's a long weekend.  FI brother is coming down from out of state for the whole weekend- which we are really excited about.  We aren't leaving for our trip until Tues so that we can visit with everyone.   

@HeatherA1919 the FB group is turning into a great tool. I answer questions once on there and everyone knows.  Found they weren't going to the website (by the food questions) and we posted the website in there. Again... it's a secret group so only those coming can see it so we don't have "surprise" guests. 

Final payment to the caterer yesterday.  We're almost there!  Excited like the rest of you and wondering what the heck I am going to do with all my time in 24 days when this is over. LOL

@vh2014 I'm surprised you've had the opposite happen with your guests! That's awesome though

I have officially made the timeline for the rehearsal and the day of. I have only three bridesmaids and two flower girls, but planning everything for everyone was ridiculously overwhelming. I don't know how people have morning weddings, mine is at 3pm and I've had to start the day at 9am!!! Crazy, but I think everything should work out.

I wasn't going to originally have any transportation (GASP I know) but my mum is wanting to arrange a limo, so I think we'll just do that!

We don't have to do the final payment to our caterer until two weeks before, so I have another week.

Tons of butterflies when I think about how close it is! Seemed so far away 1 1/2 yrs ago when we got engaged, but this summer is just flying by! THREE WEEKS!

I just saw 16 days in the top left when I logged in to check off our Honeymoon planning... we booked everything left last night.  Bachelorette is tomorrow... all the sudden it seems really real that I am not going to just plan this forever but it will actually happen. LOL.  

Anyone else getting the "what else should I be doing so that I don't miss these last few days of planning bliss" feeling? haha. I am so excited for the day to be here but I don't want to not enjoy the last couple of weeks of being a bride to be.  Don't know why, but I've really enjoyed that title... I've got a great title at work but none has been as fun as Bride to Be.

Getting our marriage license today- I'm excited!

FI seems to think we have SOOOO much to do, and I feel like he doesn't realize how much I have actually done compared to what is left. All we need to do is write out escort cards, make the welcome bags for the hotel, plan out the honeymoon excursions, finalize our signature drink recipes, and make a list of stuff to pack for the honeymoon. I feel like I can get all of this done this weekend! I'd like to so that way I have the next 2 weeks to relax and not have to worry about this stuff.

August 30th bride here too! Mine was the budget too! Bachelorette party is tomorrow. So no more worrying for me! 2 weeks to go!!!

Bachelorette party last weekend.  That was fun. Finished almost all of the projects and everything is in boxes and labeled to go.  Still have 2 small projects and tablecloths to iron.  Plan is to finish this week and next weekend will be all cleaning the house.  We were just informed we have one more couple staying with us... no idea where... guess sleeping bags on the floor. Not really worried about it too much since we didn't invite them to stay at our house, just heard it through the family grapevine. LOL.

I'm starting to get the "Are we there yet?" feeling!

Got a ton done this weekend- welcome bags, escort cards, groomsmen gifts, finalized stuff with the bakery... I'm sure there is more that we did! All that's really left is finalizing and booking the honeymoon cruise excursions and getting one ring bearer gift!

@PandaNikki definitely getting the "Are we thre yet" feeling but also the "oh crap, it's almost here" at the same time.  

On Thursday the 10 day forcast will finally reveal itself.. not that it matters because 1) it will change several times before then and 2)we have a backup.  Just the fact that I can look is exciting though!

Both of my ring bearers are into legos so I got them Lord or the Rings lego kits. My sister thought it was funny.  FI didn't get it right away and told me others won't either.  I don't really care if they do or not, the boys will love the legos and I'll get a giggle.

Can't wait to come back and see everyone's pictures.  This site has been a big help and even a source of amusement for me during the planning process.

so i really couldn't wait for the 10 day forecast to come out, i've been watching the weather since the beginning of the month!  at first it was thunderstorms... now, the 14 day forecast says sunny with a high of 75 (fairfield county).  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it stays the same!

@lisa83014  So the knot says 10 days... but the 10 day forecast only goes to Friday today.  No fair.. haha.  Yesterday it said Thursday was 88 and Sunny today it says Partly sunny and 86 for Thursday and PM Thunderstorms for Friday... so it's ALREADY changed... but I just want to see 20% or less chance of rain for Saturday when I look tomorrow.  

The day of my bridal shoot it said rain and I woke up to it pouring.. but by afternoon it was muggy, but just overcast which was PERFECT light for photography.  They came out gorgeous. 

Anyone else finding the need to keep finding things to do?  Last night I bought canvas bags and rhinestone initials to put on them for the 2 flower girls so they could keep all their "stuff" together.  I thought I'd put their accessories/shoes/etc and their gifts in them.  Both moms have been in agreement with me holding all of their wedding stuff at my house so the girls didn't try them on every few minutes and destroy them before the wedding. 

How is everyone else doing? Excited/Nervous/Moody/ All of the above?

definitely all of the above. totally trying to think of what else i COULD DO (not what's on my list of things to do or things i need to do). looking up weather websites at my desk when i should be working!

@PandaNikki: I've had the "are we there yet" feeling for awhile but now time is quickly flying by!!

Got all my place cards done today, and they look awesome. I need to do all the small things like enlarge a table seating board for our guests, etc.

I'm from Ontario so the weather is saying sunny but only a high of 18 degrees Celcius. Colder than I would like but it will probably be just right with my dress! Everything we have is inside too so that's always a plus in case it's colder than that!

@vh2014: Feeling super excited to actually get married but stressed out with the details.... even though everything is pretty much done, I still feel like I need to do more. Plus some of my bridal party were being.... difficult to put it politely so one can't go to the rehearsal but will magically show up for the dinner (what??) and another I literally had to BEG the other day for a picture of her bridesmaid dress after like 6 months of bugging to see a picture (it's long distance but I gave her the designer/fabric/colour and approximate length and let them choose their own dresses)

I'm starting to get really nervous. I don't know why- we've been together for 7 years, I know I want to marry him. I think it's just my anxiety acting up- I drank a little too much at my bachelorette party a few weeks ago and I think it has been messing with my medication.

I'm not exactly getting cold feet, but I think I'm just nervous about everything going perfectly. I can be a perfectionist and I'm worried about everything going as planned. My sister finally gets her dress on Tuesday, I'm nervous about that because they had to wait until the last minute to alter it because she's 7 months pregnant. I'm also nervous about her because she's been on modified bed rest lately. Plus my mom is usually in charge of my grandmother and disabled aunt and I'm worried that they are going to distract her and I feel selfish just thinking that but I need my mom.

Sorry I'm rambling at this point, but I needed to vent a little, does anyone else feel really overwhelmed?

@PandaNikki Totally get it.  We've been together about that long too but all the sudden it hit me s%$# we are getting married next weekend. This is real. LOL

My BFF came to visit all day Saturday and we finished last minute details, cleaned the house for guests, and drank wine... it really helped.  I know what you mean about the perfectionist part too.  I am ok once things start happening but in planning... I'm crazy about it being the way I want.  She helped with that too.  

My colors are black and red.  We made pew bows last weekend out of some tulle.  They looked cute.  Then we added the little white flowers in the middle.  The red ones looked cute... the black ones look like they belong in a funeral not a wedding.  At first we reassured each other that they will look fine with the white chairs and the red ones mixed in... and then we laughed, and laughed, and laughed.  We started to try and "fix" them and then decided that it will be comic relief suring the processional if we need it.  

So here we all go... 5 more days...

Yikes.  Weather is calling for rain as of right now...  I have a back up if necessary but it's not like anyone has to actually use their backup

I've kind of reached a 'I'm done' point.  I just want to marry my best friend and be done with all of this.

FI and I went to his cousin's reception on the weekend and during the first dance I turn to my FI and was like, "It's kinda surreal that this will be us in one week eh?"

@rsapita: I've reached the "I'm done limit" but my inner A-type personality has me obsessing over last minute details. I'm definitely feeling burnt out though.

@rsapita that sucks about the rain.  Fingers crossed the weather man is wrong for you and the rain goes away.  Our weather was calling for rain but it's now down to 20% and pushing out in the week. 

@HeatherA1919 I know that feeling... I can't believe in just a few days we will be getting married and this will all be real. I'm kind of "beyond done" too.   Still waiting on my bridal portaits and guest book which arrive tomorrow.. and cleaning my house AGAIN.

Officially on vacation from work! My coworkers threw me a little "bridal shower" yesterday at work with a card signed by everyone, some small gifts and a cake with purple frosting (since purple is my favorite color!). It was really sweet, I really do love working there, but I'm so glad to be on vacation.

My therapist went through a hypnosis/relaxation exercise with me this morning and it helped me calm down A LOT. I'm really glad I kept that appointment. I no longer feel like my heart is beating out of my chest!

All there is to do is clean the house! Tomorrow I get my hair and nails done!

THREE FREAKING DAYS LADIES!!! My excitement is actually overtaking my stress... finally. Thank goodness. Had a pampering day today that included a super duper facial and it was a great way to de-stress. 

@PandaNikki: That therapist appointment sounds AMAZING. I should've come with you lol

-that's super sweet that they threw a party for you too!

My bachelorette is tomorrow, nothing super crazy but it should be a lot of fun. 

As much as it's crunch time I've smoothed out almost everything.... I think the biggest thing would be to finish my thank you speech for the reception!

And for the ladies keeping track of the weather.... In good ol' Ontario on Saturday we have.... you guessed it... thunderstorms. So much for my outdoor pictures right? Let's hope it holds off at like.... 3:30pm-4:30pm.

And then there were 2. (Days)  House is clean enough.  FI suggested an ironing competition between him and his brother and me and his SIL tonight to take care of the table cloths. Hahahah... there is a reason I'm marrying this man. 

@heathera1919  Our weather just changed to PM thunderstorms... I hope it's early PM.  Hope they are over by 5.  Crossing my fingers for you too!

My facial and nails are tomorrow.  Can't wait.  I will declare everything as done as it can be at that point...
