Late to the Party, As Usual..

Re: Late to the Party, As Usual..

  • Yes!  In no way do I want this thread to be about that stuff from yesterday/ the day before.

As far as furbabies goes, we have two pups and I so desperately want to get two cats, too.  My dogs aren't great with other animals, we travel a lot, and our house isn't that big to really accommodate more bodies, so getting kitties will just have to wait :/

I love furbabies! We have a beagle who is a spoiled diva. I want cats, too, but that will have to wait for more space as well. Grr!

  • Is it bad that I'm too sleepy to go look for puppy gifs to post for you all? Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this is how badly the Cookie Pusher needs sleep. *dies*

  • I love furbabies! I volunteer at a no kill animal shelter and it is so difficult not to own all cats and all the dogs.

Don't mean to take away from @KPBM89 awesome wedding details, but I'm super excited for @lyndausvi and the green light! We're going through the same thing now, furbaby #2.

@lyndausvi we're meeting our little guy for the 2nd time, but this time with our dog. I'm kind of nervous, our dog Maddy can be a tough little girl. The dog we're trying to adopt was rescued from a medical lab where they test on animals. I cried while holding him, he was so skinny and unsure of the world since they're crated 24/7.

Best of luck to you guys! Do you have a lucky little one in mind?

YAY!  When do you get yours?

  • I want a doggie SO MUCH!!! But we don't really live in an area that's dog friendly. We could have cats, but I am not a cat person, so that's out.

I'm so excited for your new furbaby, @lyndausvi!!

I'm gonna go with 'not my circus, not my monkeys.'
  • If all goes well we're getting a doggie after we come back from our honeymoon! I'm almost more excited for that than the actual wedding lol. We have been DYING to get a dog forever but haven't been able to find a decent place that will take them until now (well, moving in June, getting married late June, so pupper will hopefully come in July).

We are getting a 2 year old german shepherd-something else mix. Chef and Mack have met. They get along great at the park. Both taking turns on the submissive rolls. Foster dad says he is chill, no need for a crate, really sweet, great with other dogs, knows commands, etc. We, of course, will use a crate until he has gained trust. We have dog sat before for up to 3 weeks. Chef was annoyed the first 24-48 hours. Not aggressive, just like "when you are leaving so I can chill". Chef doesn't know how control himself. He gets so excited at a new playmate he overdoes it. Much like a toddler at Disney. too much stimulation they can't relax. He eventually gets into a new routine. I'm hoping he will be the same with the new dog. ETA - It's a no paragraph day for me. Not sure if it's TK or my mac or my Mac on TK. Sorry.

  • I can't even explain how badly I want a puppy. Our complex doesn't allow pets except cats (FI and I are both severely allergic), so we have to wait until we can afford a house. But this is the puppy I want:

THIS! This is Gus to a "t". FI's mom just got a new puppy and brought him over last weekend. Poor Gus nearly had an aneurism from the excitement…and then the jealously…and then the confusion…and then the annoyance. This from a dog who has aways had at least one fur sibling AND who has spent the entire 8 years of his existence coming to work with me and interacting with a ton of other office dogs. He's a nut, and I love every bit of his bulldog being ;)

I can't wait for more updates on Mack!! Yay!
