Wedding Invitations & Paper

Response card question!

Hello! This is driving me crazy and I could really use some advice! Because my wedding is at a venue that's at least a one hour drive for most of our guests, we are having a dinner the night before, and brunch the next morning (for any guests who plan to stay over in the area for the weekend).  Everyone invited to the wedding is welcome to attend these events. I will definitely need a head count for the dinner and the brunch. With my wedding invitation, I want to include an enclosure card with both dinner and brunch info. Do you think it would be okay to include two extra lines on the wedding response card for guests to rsvp for the (night before) dinner and brunch as well? If so what should the wording be?

Re: Response card question!

  • Sure! If you need a head-count, you need a headcount.

    I would have one RSVP card that says:

    Reception:
    M________________________

    No. attending ___
    ___ Accepts with pleasure
    ___ Declines with regrets

    ~~~~~~~
    Dinner on [date]
    M________________________
    No. attending ___
    ___ Accepts with pleasure
    ___ Declines with regrets
    ~~~~~~~
    Brunch on [date]
    M________________________

    No. attending ___
    ___ Accepts with pleasure
    ___ Declines with regrets

    I would have a separate enclosure card that details the information about the day-before dinner and the morning-after brunch, such as time.

    I'm gonna go with 'not my circus, not my monkeys.'
  • Thank you!!!
  • I'm basically doing exactly what @HisGirlFriday13 suggested. Having the replies for each event together like that makes it easy to keep track of it.
    Wedding Countdown Ticker
  • I would do as suggested since you need a head count for each event
