I know we just bragged on our Fi's, but...

I just have to brag on him again.  I've been having a lot of health problems lately and I came home from an appointment today in a lot of pain.

He popped me a beer the minute we walked in the door.  I put some pre-made pasta in the oven and sipped my beer while Knotting with my feet up.  After dinner, he cleaned up the whole kitchen without being asked.  Then he brought me ice for my hip, then a second ice pack when the first one wasn't cold enough.  Now he just brought me a cup of hot tea and he's cleaning up the bedroom and just changed our sheets.

Beer!  Tea!  And it's clean sheets day!  I'm a lucky girl.

Please share if you've got a SO brag.  I love reading about the awesome things our other halves do.

  • FI just did all our laundry and he fed the brats tonight :) He also didn't complain (that much) about the vegan meal I made. I think he's starting to get used to this vegan thing.

  • My birth control I just started is making me really sick to my stomach. I didn't get to clean or do anything today because of it so when he came home for working outside all day, he did 2 loads of laundry, made dinner for himself and the kids, gave our youngest a bath and rocked him to sleep, and held my hair back while I got sick. I love my DH<3

  • HE CLEANED UP ALL THE POOP. That's a panty dropper right there.

I think I worked out too hard on an empty stomach today, so my stomach was all "oh hell no" when I got home and tried to eat dinner. Sent it all right back up; sorry for the TMI. He packed up my leftover dinner and gave me crackers. (He always cleans up the kitchen. I'm a lucky lady.) And he switched the sports to Jeopardy before he left for his meeting earlier tonight.

  • All your SOs are so sweet. I wish I was happier with my FI tonight to brag on him. I'm too irritated to deal with him right now.

He turned the sports back on as soon as he got home, if that makes you feel any better! :-p

  • I'm going a little bit bridezilla, plus having crazy mood swings because I'm changing medications and my hormones are all wacked out, and FI is taking it like a champ.

Also, he just got glasses for the first time and he looks SO. DARN. GOOD. in them. Except that he keeps complaining about them and he doesn't believe that I actually like them.

I had a bad day at work and didn't get home till 8pm. My partner had done all the grocery shopping and put away all the laundry :D

  • My right hip is really hurting me today and I think it's related to propping my feet up when I'm at my desk because they've been swelling. DH took care of dinner tonight and rubbed the pained area after Chiquita was in bed. Then he bought me a pair of Birkenstocks off Amazon so I'll have more supportive footwear for the hot 3rd trimester.

I'm one tired but lucky mama!
  • @JCbride2015‌ glad your FI took good care of you tonight!

  • We have had huge thunderstorms the last few days and our poor little dog hates them and hides under the bed. (that is him in my sig). I heard the FI trying to coax him out while I was getting ready for work. Nothing really brag-worthy...but I will admit it was cute hearing things like, "It's ok little buddy. Ff you come out from under the bed I will give you a treat and belly rub."
This sounds adorable. One of the cutest things I've ever seen was Fi hand-feeding our sick cat tuna.  The cat was hiding under the bed and Fi crawled under there with him so he would eat.

  • Mine's just been generally super sweet and supportive recently. We've been discussing a lot about whether or not we want kids together, and work has been stressing me out, so he's just been extra emotionally attentive these past few days.

FI took amazing care of me yesterday for Mothers day and is still gushing to anyone who will listen about what a great mom I am to his son.

TMI: I'm at the last month before I'm supposed to switch my IUD and got my first real period in 5 years last night. I forgot how bad cramps are and he has had me laying on the couch binge watching greys anatomy while he brings me Advil, cookies, and wine!

  • @afox007, I just got an IUD a few weeks ago! I'm loving it so far!

When my family didn't show any interest in doing something after my graduation ceremony to celebrate, DH planned something with his family and invited them to join if they wanted. He also got me a cake for graduation to take to the party some friends threw for me. He was really supportive and made me feel special when I was feeling down.

My FI used his day off work yesterday to fix a leaky pipe in our ceiling and even though it took him most of the day because he ran into problems, he still made me dinner when I got home from work and then took me out for ice cream.  He's such a sweetheart.

We're getting married in 4 days!  So last week was really busy with final appointments.  Friday night I had my highlights done and decided to just stay at my parents house since I had to go pick up my dress on Saturday morning (the store is 10 mins from their house)  I rushed back to our place so that I could clean, shower, and make sure I have our rehearsal dinner stuff together.  (It was Saturday night).  I walked in to find the entire apartment had been cleaned, vacuumed, and the floor steam mopped!  I was so impressed.  He had also started some laundry.

I was super thankful.  He said "I know you've had a long busy week so I figured you could use some help"  what a keeper!!!  Today he's working from home and made me an iced coffee and a ziplock of cheerios for the car ride.  He's seriously the best!!!

I have to drive four hours away to take the TEAS for nursing school today. I was freaking out yesterday because my second practice test went worse than my first and he was patient with me. He loaded up the car for me last night and is having me take his car since it has more room and gets better gas mileage.

  • We had a very busy weekend and last night was our first evening to just get home and eat supper and spend time together. FI had all of the dishes done by the time I got home (which makes me happier than almost anything) so I could cook supper. I asked if he wanted to go see his parents because they had called and invited us over for dessert and he replies, "I really want to spend time with JUST you for a few days. We haven't really had time together this weekend." I just love that.

It sounds like FI gave you just what you needed! Well played, FI, well played.

  • I'm out of town for a whole week for work. I miss DH so much. :( (And I don't care how cheesy that sounds. This is the longest we've been apart since we started dating.)
I'm with you on this! I have an annual work trip that usually lasts 10 days and last year it was awful! We've had a "3 day rule" since we met (as in, let's try really, really hard not to be apart more than 3 days in a row) and anything more makes us sad.

  • I love hearing all the women gush.  Its lovely.  I got surprise flowers yesterday.  Not the first time he has done that, and I'm sure it won't be the last.  Every time he does it it makes me smile and happy. :)  He has been staying on top of the laundry pretty well (we both HATE folding, so that always gets put off).  He has been so patient through the whole wedding planning process and helpful when he can be.  He always makes me smile every day as well.  Can't wait to spend the rest of our lives as husband and wife!

  • FI did all the laundry on Sunday, deep fried a turkey for dinner at my mom's because she requested it, and made sure I did absolutely NOTHING!

Also, the biggest points ever earned...I have 2 boys ages 22 (in the marines) and 18 (graduating from college on Friday!) These are not his kids but I had dropped hints that I would really love a pearl necklace for either Mother's Day or my birthday. Well, he pitched in (although he isn't admitting that he did) and helped my boys get me the most gorgeous necklace!! When I opened the box, I started bawling! I heard 18 yr old say, "is that a good thing?" FI says, "oh ya!"

  • Awww we all have such good SO's! Mine's usually pretty sweet all the time but last night he kept thanking me for making dinner. He was out mowing the lawn and asked if I'd bake chicken and roast some broccoli. It was no biggie and took all of 5 minutes to prep and throw in the oven but he was just so thankful to me for doing it. He's always so good about thanking me and showing his appreciation for things I do around the house and I try to always show him the same respect.
  • FI moved in on Thursday and so far its awesome.  I have a steady job but he's looking for something temporary until the semester starts, so he's had some free time after running around with applications.  He took that time to clean the apartment and do all the dishes.  I had a long day at work so he had Buffy and a hookah all ready for me when I came back. Plus I get lots of massages.  FI is very sweet.
