Just sick... Lost my Macy's gift cards. :(

Last week I was excited that their heated blankets were on clearance.  I added two to my registry (so I could get the additional 15% completion discount) and then put them in my online cart.

I applied a $25 gift card and all of our registry rewards, about $56, and put the balance on my Macy's card ($29.62).  I was so excited.

I hadn't received a shipping notification so when I logged into my account today I noticed they were still in my shopping cart and my gift card balances were no longer applied.  I had thrown the cards away thinking they were all used up.  

I'm chatting online with a Macy's chat representative and I don't think there is anything they can do.  Totally sucks.

I did it at work over a week ago.  Trash is looooooong gone.  

I keep hoping that someone can do some IT magic since I entered the gift cards into the system (and they were accepted) while I was logged into my account.  So far no such luck.

So, someone in the registry department was able to get the registry rewards gift card resent, so I'm only out the $25 from my sister.

Better than nothing!

Did you get the order notification when you originally placed it? That should have the payment breakdown for the order.

Also, I love electric blankets. My mom buys us one every Christmas as a gift.

No, that is why I logged in to look.  Something happened and it didn't accept my order so the items were still in the shopping cart but the gift cards that I had entered were no longer in the cart or my profile.    Since I didn't keep the gift cards I thought they were both lost forever but the registry consultant I did the online chat with was able to request a new registry rewards card (the bigger balance of the two) for me.  That will help!

My sister gave me the lost one.  She has three kids (a three year old and 15 month old twins) so I wouldn't even ask her for a receipt at this point.  I'm 99% certain she got it at Giant Eagle for the fuel points but I wouldn't want to stress her out over $25 and my error.

Well $25 isn't too bad, but if she got it at GE they might be able to pull up the purchase and reissue the card or give you the number and have Macy's reissue it. But it's probably not worth it for $25. Still sucks, sorry
