Mothers of the Bride and Groom

Hello all! I need some advice about what to do, if I can do anything at all.

Our wedding colors are yellow and gray.

My mom got an ankle length navy blue dress, my fiance's mom is wearing an ankle length plum dress. My fiance's step-mom just emailed me and said that she got a yellow and gray dress...and she didn't mention the length. My fiance isn't terribly close with his dad and step-mom so I'm worried that they're going to feel outside of the wedding party. She seems really excited about the dress though.

I'm not sure what to say or how to handle this, or do you guys think it will be okay?

There's nothing to handle. Say that you're sure she'll look just lovely.

They can wear whatever they want.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

If your guests (even parents) aren't members of the wedding party, then you don't have any input on their attire.  If they look to you for approval or something, just say you're glad they found a dress and are sure they'll look beautiful.

Say nothing --- if she was worried about "fitting in" she'd have asked you your opinion on her attire. But, she didn't, so let it be.

Okay! Just checking :) I know it's a small and pointless thing to worry about but wanted to be sure I didn't overstep my boundaries. Thanks for the advice guys!
