Re: Calling all busty ladies...and I mean busty!!

  • Swim bras are if you are wearing a swimsuit that only has a shelf bra. It looks rather excessively booby in a HH cup, so yeah.

I have to wear a bra with a swimsuit, because my boobs are on the floppy side.  I need that shelf/lift.
  • I'm jealous. I have to have actual cups. Anything shelf shove me up too much and I'm all boob then and am very close to nip slip.
  • I have to have cups too, but that little bit of under padding/lift puts my boobs where they are supposed to be, instead of floppy messes.
  • PS - here is a closeup of my dress.  Just so you can see, it can be done.  :)

So I came here and realized that DD is not that busty, but had to comment on how beautiful that picture is!

Awwww. thanks.  I feel like I came into this thread and me and my boobs sort of took over.   I just know how it feels to have huge boobs and always having a hard time finding shit to fit !  :)
  • I'm just going to say how much I love this thread.  My girls aren't as large as a lot of the ladies here, but they're constantly a 'problem' when bra/swim/clothing shopping nonetheless.  Love the advice, links, and product recommendations!

  • I have big boobs too. I got a dress from db. My boobs stayed up with a corset from there. I plan on getting one from there or search the internet.

Now I want floppy. Seriously, anything shelf is not suitable on me. I get freaking cakes on a plate half the time, shelf is worse.
  • I have a horrible time with swim suites too. If it were up to me, I wouldn't even own on, but we are going to Tahoe next month and I need one. I found a website

    www.biggerbras.com

They make swim suites in your cup size and they have underwire tops. If you are busty, you cannot go down to a department store and buy one. Medium, large, extra large just doesn't cut up.

I got the top and it fits pretty well, it could have a little more lift, but I'm happy with it!
  • I know I am not quite as busty as some others, but I wear a 32 DDD and I found all of my strapless bras on Amazon and Ebay. The one that I really like is the Warcoal strapless bra. It is about $60 on Amazon and $20.00 on Ebay.

  • 30 HH, and another recommendation for a corset.  A good one that's not too tight should be pretty comfortable and help keep you standing up straight for pictures too.  Also, check around for smaller local shops.  I'm in central PA and there's an AMAZING bra shop 10 miles from where I live.  I found it by asking at an aerie and after they decidedly didn't have my size, a lady recommended that shop.

Does anyone have any clue on where to find good swimsuits?  I never can seem to find any that don't give me half a mile of cleavage.
  • Freya swimsuits are my pick. They are always a perfect fit. However, I do need to go up in band size due to the material. It's too stretchy over the total area, so it is too snug. I don't have to cup up also, but I usually do for better coverage in swimming. I'm full centrally so I tend to spill even in a plunge style that is much too big - it's not quad boobing. So instead of 32H (my Freya size), I go for a 34H. If you aren't spill happy, it'd be a 34GG based on normal sister sizing. My experience says if a Freya Deco gives you porn boobs, go up a cup, if it's just a VS look, stay in your cup size. If Deco looks like a fuddy duddy bra on you, you may go down a cup (34G) instead.

Usually get my tops from a local store so I can make sure the color works, then ASOS has been my go to for bottoms for cheaper. I to this day can never understand ASOS or HerRoom sizing, they don't like to list the proper UK size. But bottoms are easier to fit.

I love corsets, but since I'm already a true hourglass shape (grrrrrr, clothes need serious alterations 99% of the time), I can't wear an under bust or I get way too much showing, and overs are obnoxious to lace if done properly because I'm already that build, I don't need the waist clinching. Costume or play corsets are fine but offer no support.
