Best Bra... Small Busted Bride

Hello Brides,
I have my dress fitting in a week and need some advice... I am wearing a strapless gown and am wondering the best bra to buy. I have a small bust (36B) and obviously want the ladies to look stunning the day of, like mine but a bit more omph! I am not up for yanking on a strapless bra all night and am wondering what recommendations anyone may have?
Any help is much appreciated!

Re: Best Bra... Small Busted Bride

  • I am a 32-34A on a good day, and I wear a push-up from Victoria's Secret. It stays up very well and gives me oomph.  It's from the Pink line, actually, but I would assume any of theirs should work well.

That being said, it's black (and I'm whiter than snow) yet the top of my dress is lined enough that you can't see the black at all. I'm so glad I don't have to buy a new one!

  • I actually work for VS, and my personal favorite is our Very Sexy Push Up multi-way. It has just enough lift to make your "ladies" look great haha, and the inside of the band is lined so that it hugs your body, thus ensuring you wont be pulling it up every five minutes. This is the number 1 strapless bra that I recommend to all of my clients.

Now if you are looking for some HUGE lift, we also carry the Bombshell multi-way. This will add 2 cup sizes, so you will definitly have more oomph!

I tried on the Bombshell multi-way and yep... that will be for me. LOVE THAT ONE. Someone recommended attaching it to my gown in place of having them sew cups in. I decided the dress was structured enough to hold it up anyway and it's white so no worries about it showing.

  • Padded NuBra = lifesaver when I was younger and had little boobies.  It sticks on, you can pull each boob up before you stick it on to prop them up, or kind of smoosh them in for massive cleavage.

I'm a 36A and wore the VS Bombshell multi-way for my wedding last month... and I loved it!  Definitely gave me the lift & enhancement I was hoping for, it was comfortable, and I never had to pull it up... not even once all day. It helped me lift & fill the dress without looking overly busty or unnatural. I would definitely recommend it.

  • Just a note... if your strapless bras are consistently not staying up, they are either old and need to be replaced or are the wrong size and need to be replaced. Try going down a band size. A bra's support should be primarily from the band anyway, not the straps.

That said, most of my bras are VS or Aerie (34B at VS, 34C at Aerie because their sizing runs so damn small) and while I love my Bombshell, it doesn't look quite right under certain tops just because they were bought for my natural chest and not 2 cups bigger. I wore a slip with built-in bra under my wedding gown. Strapless wedding gowns are generally structured enough to stay up (providing they're fitted correctly) regardless of what you have on underneath.

  • thanks for this post. I have what my mother referred to  as "mosquito bites" when we went dress shopping this weekend. I am a little scared about filling a dress out.
