If any of you lovely ladies want to grab a drink and have a mini knottie get together let me know! If Thursday doesn't work Ill be there for a few days.

Check out the Moulin á Image. It's on the side of the Bunge Grain Silo, just down by the marina. It tells the story of Quebec's history over about 45 min. I think it starts around 9pm maybe?? Cirque also does free shows every night under the overpass/Port of Quebec Agora (Les Chemins Invisible) - http://www.cirquedusoleil.com/en/events/chemins-invisibles/show.aspx. Both shows were started for the 400th anniversary. Also free. It's too bad that you just missed the Festival d'été. They always have some really big names playing. Enjoy the old city. It's really beautiful.

I live in Ottawa, but travel to Montreal a few times a year. If you're looking for a nice dinner restaurant, I highly recommend a walk down St Paul St E in Vieux-Montreal. It's a gorgeous area with cobblestone streets and tons of restaurants as far as you can see. I adore the neighbourhood, and not just because we got engaged in front of BEVO, and were given free champagne at The Keg. :)

Thank you for the suggestions! I'm gonna have a lot of down time, we're going since FI's band is playing a few shows so I will be on my own for a lot of the trip.

So jealous, I've never been to Quebec in the summer, went twice with school in February...it was cold haha.  It was a long time ago but I remember they had a rotating restaurant that was kind of cool if your into that kind of thing?  And I remember really good maple butter.  That feels like forever ago, back when my french was actually passable haha

Maple butter sounds so yummy! I may have to buy some and make something to use it on...turns out I won't be eating out much, FI said a few of the nights were crashing at people's house and he aske me to cook as a thank you and also cuz apparently the band gets sick every tour from eating nothing but junk.

@afox007 So you'll be there Thursday and Friday? No chance of you being there Monday or Tuesday? It sucks because I work all weekend as of Wednesday night to Sunday night and don't finish until 3am. Otherwise would love to meet up?
