Wedding Hair

I wanted to have my hair down for my wedding... But everyone seems to think that having it up will look more sophisticated and formal. I went for my hair trial today and asked for an updo because everyone else was so set on it... and I'm pretty sure I really like it! What are your opinions? Should I have went with my hair down or keep it up like this? or any suggestions to add to it? 

My dress is a sweetheart neckline mermaid dress with lots of crystals and beading!

I'm wearing a swarovski hair comb in the back and a veil for the wedding ceremony! Thanks in advance!

First, it looks lovely.

Second, you should wear your hair how you want! ^_^ I believe at your wedding you should look like the most gorgeous version of you. The keyword there is you. If someone never puts their hair up, ever, then why do it for a wedding?

Plus, I just love seeing brides without up-dos.

Dress yourself how you want.  Don't worry too much about what other people are saying.  At the end of the day you're more likely to regret having wedding photos done in a hair do you don't love then they are to even remember that you didn't take their advice.

That said, I think it looks lovely.  It's really pretty and a little bit interesting.

Do you have a tendency to throw up your hair in a ponytail when you're hot or dancing? If so and you plan on dancing you may want to do the updo.

If not, I think a half-up half-down style would look great with the dress you describe.

I think it looks nice, but I say wear your hair how you want it.

I love it, but I agree that you need to wear what you want to. My hair was done similarly with a crystal hair comb in the back, but I wanted it up so it was off the back of my neck. Otherwise, I knew it would bother me all night.

1. You should wear your hair however you want!

2. I prefer updos, and that one looks really pretty on you.

3. I am merely a stranger on the internet and my opinion means nothing.

I had my hair trial yesterday, and she did several up dos and half up dos that were gorgeous, but it wasn't until she took it down that I was like, ahhhh! That's me. So, that's what I'm going with because that's when I felt gorgeous.

That said, I think your hair looks wonderful, but what's important is how it makes you feel!

I like!  I might nix the curly q behind your ear though for two reasons--I think tendrils look prom-ish, and two, if it falls, it might get stringy.

I'm not comfortable with my hair up so I never wear it up. When I told my sister I didn't want to wear it up for the wedding, I thought she was going to pass out. And then she literally started yelling that I HAD to wear it up, and I just said "I'll think about it" to calm her down. I'm definitely wearing it down, how I'm comfortable. Those photos of your hair are really beautiful, but make sure you're doing what you want to do, and not what other people are demanding!

You look gorgeous. Ultimately, I think you should wear your hair how you want to wear it. I agree with everyone in this thread; you want to look and feel like the best version of yourself. I'd give some thought to your venue. Is it outside? Is it going to be hot or humid? In those cases, you may want to go with the up-do. But honestly, you're going to look amazing no matter how you wear your hair.
