  • The butter chicken at the Indian restaurant by my parents' house. FI and I will routinely buy two takeout dishes' worth so that we don't end up fighting over who got more.

Dior Addict Lip Glow. I've only recently started buying it, but it is by far the best lip balm I've ever used.

Okay I thought of more! This is fun.

Yes. LOL I am an Ativan user. oh, and Ambien to sleep!

I thought of a few more as well. I'm loyal to BMW, to NOT using Apple products, Blackberry (yep, I'm one of those), Red Door Spa for my manis/pedis/waxes, and Victoria's Secret for underwear, but not bras.

OOhhh.. This is very interesting to me. I'm sorry I can't mail you Ativan in my care package without being a felon. Also, I use Xanax (prescribed) for sleep because Ambien didn't do shit for me. I'm glad it works for you. But I literally did not feel a thing taking it. I also love that the Apple thing is a total customer loyalty thing or not at all. It's really interesting. I've never tried using a Blackberry.

Where do you buy bras? I used to be obsessive about my panties matching my bra not only in color but in style but IDGAF any more. And I have no idea what Red Door Spa is. Is that national?
  • @lc07- Yes, Red Door is a national spa brand. They aren't in every state, but they have three of them in AZ.

I have to buy special bras in size 30E. So, I get them from Nordstrom. They are not very pretty because the size is so random. So, I only have black and nude.  The brand is Simone Perele.

Ah. I have the opposite problem with tiny boobies. My sister has a much larger chest, though, and I remember when we were in HS (back in the day) and you had to buy swimsuits as sets.  Virtually no one sold them as separates and she was a small butt and XL in the chest. Poor girl. Thank goodness you can buy swimsuits separately now. I do think shopping in general is a pain for her though because she is a size small except the boobs.

I just googled the salon and there is one about 40 minutes from my house. I'm excited to try it!

Also, I love Nordstrom for a zillion reasons. Can that count as a brand even though they are more of a parent company?
  • Nordstrom can definitely be a brand! I own a ton of shoes from them and Zappos, all of which are Cole Haan. LOL

OMG I was on Ambien for a while. I was in acoma 15 mins after taking it.

H and I are seat snobs at professional games. If the seats aren't good I feel like it's not even worth going. I'm glad I'm not the only one with the comfy shoe thing. I bought a pair of Nine West open toe heels in the beginning of the summer. H talked me out getting them in other colors. So I wore this other pair I had yesterday for an event and my feet were killing me! I was cursing myself for listening to him. What does he know about women's shoes?!?

     Apple products.
    Tide detergent
2 ply toilet paper. (I refuse to wipe with something with the consistency of notebook paper)
    Essie nail polish
    Heinz ketchup
Although I prefer shop rite brand Mac and cheese
Chipotle tried other chains with a similar concept. No bueno
    Tampax tampons
    European wax center for Brazilians

    That's all I can think of. I know there's more. I'm a weirdo.

I totally converted DH to Cottonelle from "whatever is cheap".  In the store he will pick it up going "is this the right one?"

KINDLE/ Amazon - I will never ever go nook or apple.

      Coke zero. Microsoft.

Mary Kay, my face has never looked this good.

I love my converse, and I will always buy Wrangler Jeans, they have some really cute pairs, that I can get them in 0 extra longs and they last forever which totally make it worth the money.

I love Victoria Secrets for bras and undies.

JEEP, I love my jeep, my mom loves her jeep, and my dad loves his dodge (they're related companies) . Jeeps run forever, and they're super easy to work on yourself. It was easy peasy to change the gas fuel pump, the water pump, and the radiator all by myself.

  • Oh yes, if we're talking TP-- Charmin Ultra Strong.  It was actually a BFD moving in together because I saw no point in fancy TP, and Fi was raised in a Charmin-only household.  But they would buy that fluffy linty Charmin.  He grudgingly accepted the Ultra Strong because at least it's still Charmin brand.  Gah.

  • Vegemite.  There is absolutely no substitute for this stuff!  I don't care what marketers say.  And no, it's not remotely like Marmite.

Me too! I buy a lot of things from the UK and ship it over. I am guilty of expensive UK shoes as well. I bought a pair of super expensive boots over there last year that are amazeballs. So, no side-eyes.

  • Omg- LOVE LK Bennett!!! When I get back to work, I'm going on a shopping spree there. I think their line is the perfect professional line.

I almost bought some LK pumps in London, but I got a pair of Marvin K Aquatalia boots instead :)

  • @Jells2dot0 The shoe boutique where I worked in college sold Aquitalia.  GORGEOUS!

And yes, the Sybila pumps I bought last year were my first LK Bennetts and I'm a total convert.  The Sledge is lovely but it's just too high for everyday, and I can't find the same heel height in anything currently on their website.  The Sybila is just the perfect height for work.

  • Those are gorgeous!  I'm always on the lookout for quality, comfortable (future) work shoes.  So you recommend the brand in general?

I have only tried on the linked ones, and the Sledge which is a bit higher.  Both were very comfortable, but I liked the Sybila because the height really makes it an all-day shoe.  I drool over their window displays in NYC though.  Everything they come out with is gorgeous.

Also, Kate Middleton wears them, so they get the ultimate seal of approval IMO.

The other brand I've found insanely comfortable is Taryn Rose, or Taryn by Taryn Rose (a little cheaper).  I scored a pair at DSW and they're like a permanent hug for your feet!
