  • I love talking to all the lovely ladies here :) And I feel that I learn so much about weddings being on here. Which is helpful since we are in the process of planning ours. Whenever I have a wedding related question I come to TK. But yea, now I am mostly here for the chit chat :) And for the entertainment on certain boards - like Ettiquette or Wedding Party.

  • 100%  I like helping people with weddings.  I'll never get to plan another one, now that my daughter is married.

  • Gosh, almost all of it.

I still pop in with questions of my own, and the occasional advice (usually more for the interpersonal stuff than actual wedding logistics, since I haven't had mine yet!) but honestly I just enjoy the community here, and like chatting with y'all.

I'm sure this will change when my wedding gets closer and I suddenly need to ask things/reassure myself/forget how to use the search button/need to whine, but for now I'm mainly just digging the vibe, meeting new people, learning new things.

  • I surely hope I never have to plan another wedding. Two was enough and I am VERY certain that when my SD gets married next year (yes, that's right- I'm a MoB at 34) she won't ask me for any advice. Which could be very entertaining because I think there is a snowflake beginning to crystalize. So, I'll get my fix on giving advice and wedding planning by posting here, but it's mostly just entertainment for me.

  • I didn't really become more active until a few months before my wedding. Personally, I'm a little bit still in wedding withdrawal and I love to hear about everyone's weddings. But chit chat is my favorite, and I've loved talking with you ladies! Sometimes I venture over to the E room, but they've got all that shit on lock over there. They don't need someone else chiming in with the 30th response to a question that's already been answered.

Oh, maybe I can trade you for my FSMIL ;)  I've already read tons of your advice and had to share a little with her! (No, FSMIL, we can't have a cash bar for liquor at the RD!)

  • I used to spend a lot more time, but then they blocked TK at work. I need to find a new job.

My brain read this as "questionable advice" at first.

At this point, I'm here about 30% for the advice and 70% for the chit chat.
