I am so so excited! I am being referred for hire this upcoming Tuesday for a 4th grade position in my "dream" choice school system! I could not be happier!!
School has already started there, and my official teaching start date will be the 25th. Once I get officially hired and can go to my classroom, I am going to go crazy preparing! I applied for the kindergarten job, but I'll gladly take what I can get. Plus, I'm going to decorate my class Harry Potter style. My students are going to be 'sorted' and be in one of the four houses through the year. Ahhh!!! I was so close to giving up hope for the year, but my time has come.
I got the call at 6:50am...and I had gone to bed around 4am. I'll need to get on a regular sleep schedule soon. I still haven't gone back to sleep due to excitement, but I need to get some shuteye because I'm picking up my wedding dress at 4pm. I don't want to feel groggy for that!
This is amazing. I've been kicking myself for a few weeks for not expanding my search early enough, but I'll be right around the corner from home. We'll now get to go on a honey moon too! The school has an entire week off for fall break in October this year - Diagon Alley, here I come~
