Crazy turn of events- Our June 2015 vow renewal is now November 2014.

edited September 2014 in Nevada-Las Vegas

Basically, we were only inviting three couples each and all three on the Mr's side can't attend. So now we're renewing our vows alone- which actually was our original plan but my two best friends found out and were hurt so we decided to invite a small group. Once that was decided, I was truly looking forward to the couples trip and I am disappointed that it's off. But we can really do that anytime, when circumstances are better for everyone.

We would have still waited until next year to renew our vows (our 10th anniversary is in May) but a trip to Vegas in November is already booked so we're just going to do it then. We intended to finalize the details of our private dinner, tour the Cosmo suite, etc. Fingers crossed that the photographer we've already booked can accommodate us 7 months early! Since we're doing it on a Wednesday now instead of a Saturday, I am optimistic.

Guess the dress I bought last month because I couldn't resist the good deal won't be waiting in my closet for as long as I thought. Who knew?

  • Sounds like everything is going to work out. Wednesday is perfect!
  • That's called making lemonade out of lemon!  Sounds like a lovely plan!

    LOL Absolutely!
  • Sounds perfect! If we didn't have so many people that would be upset....I would totally do just the two of us!

Yeah, I was actually surprised when my friends responded the way they did about us going alone. But they were at our wedding (which we had 9 guests for) which is why they felt they should be at the renewal as well. I was really touched and welcomed them once they shared how they felt. They are bummed about the change! But we're going to do an anniversary celebration at home with them. A party is a party. ;)
