Are you planning on wearing false eyelashes?

Re: Are you planning on wearing false eyelashes?

  • I am, but natural looking ones. I wear falsies quite often and no one ever knows they aren't real. Actually when I wear mascara it can sometimes look more "make-up look" than when I wear fakes.
  • I'm new to false lashes, but have been loving the effect of natural ones lately…

"Pixiwoo" has some great tutorials on YouTube. If you google "how to apply false lashes AND pixiwoo", you'll find it.

As for brands, my favourites are Duo glue and MAC lashes. You can buy the duo glue at MAC. The MAC lashes are on the expensive side, but they're handmade with hair. Number 30s are small clusters. If you're doing it yourself, these would be difficult to apply if you're doing an entire lash line. If you're only doing the ends, however, it would be fine. Number 31 and 32s are quite natural looking.

If you're doing it yourself, practice a lot before the wedding day (but not with your expensive ones, get some cheaper ones to get the hang of it)! Using an eyelash applicator can make it much easier.

    HOpe this helps!
  • Nope. Not doing it.

  • I have really long lashes, but they're super blonde.  We were going to tint my lashes the day of the wedding (I often have them tinted), but got our wires crossed and my MUA didn't bring her tinting gear - so we did falsies instead so I didn't have to wear mascara.  My eyes ended up looking even more dramatic, so I'm glad we did them instead of tinting.

I used to wear them for dance, but it's been about eight years.  I could feel them for the first little while, but once I got distracted with other things, I totally forgot about them.  She brought her usual selection and glue, so I can't help with brands, sorry.
