Anyone watch the CMAs last night?

I am obsessed with Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley as a team and they were on their A game last night! So funny and I loved that they snuck in Carrie's gender reveal for her baby!

 

I was really disappointed that George Strait didn't win entertainer of the year especially since it is his retirement year. Even more dissapointed that Luke Bryan won. I am not a fan of that guy!

 

Miranda Lambert was amazing and I loved her and Meghan Trainor's performance of All About That Bass.

 

Anyone else watch? Did your favorites win?

    Ugh. I meant to because I adore Carrie and Brad so much, but totally spaced on it. I need to look up the Miranda/Meghan duet!

    I really enoyed it. Brad and Carrie are such a great pair. And the gender reveal?! "Do you think he will sign my baby?" "We can name him Garth!" "Wow, you kept that secret 2 whole minutes." #bradblewit. It was perfect!

    Now, I love George Strait, love him. But Entertainer of the Year is different than being the best artist. Luke Bryan ENTERTAINS. He dances and interacts and puts on a really good show. George does, but it's not up to par with Luke. Plus, how can you say no to this:

    I'm so glad that I won (Miranda won) Female Vocalist of year. That girl is such a badass and absolutely amazing. Her performance with Little Big Town and Meghan Trainor were great.

    I think Dirt annoys me the most haha. I liked Cruise at first but then it got old and then every song that came on after that sounded the same to me.

    What did you think about LGT and Ariana Grande?

    I agree with Smile, why was Ariana Grande even there? I loved Brad Paisley's reaction when Carrie asked him if he was an Arianna Grande fan and he was like, "no I don't drink cofee" hahahaha.

    Haha yes. I know they like to do collaborations but they basically just played her song and LBT sang it and she yelled during certain parts.

    George Strait is the KING of country but he is not, IMO, an entertainer. Have you seen him live? Man can work the guitar and has a killer voice, but you have got to REALLY love George to go see him live... it isn't super entertaining. Just... legendary.

    Luke Bryan can shake it for me any time.

    I do think Eric Church got robbed. The Outsiders is a phenomenal record. Maybe because he isn't "bro country" enough for most people, but I think he is a hell of an artist.

    Ariana Grande? No. Just no. LBT is awesome and she was totally unnecessary.

    I am in love with Eric Church. He gets over looked a lot because he has a lot of songs that never make it to the radio but are absolutely amazing.

    FGL was awful. I always feel like they're singing just a hair flat and a bit nasally. It's even worse live.

    And what was up with Jason Aldean? Every note out of his mouth was flat. I just couldn't watch it.

    Haha! It really was an awful performance. I Googled it to watch it again and his "camel-toe" was the first thing that popped up.

    I read that there were lots of issues with sound. I have seen most of the performers live before and they always sound SO good... last night most of them were must meh.. like Keith and Dierks. I was a little less than impressed but then heard that overall they experiences sound issues.

    I watched it on mute until AHS came on. I really don't like country music but one of my mom's best friend's daughter won tickets and wanted to see if I could spot her in the audience. I didn't.

    I didn't even notice it until I checked the article you linked. He should invest in looser pants, maybe he'll sing better. Luke Bryan, on the other hand, can keep wearing whatever he wants!

    No, but I'll probably watch later.  Luke Bryan won, really?  Ick.  I can't stand his voice.  He so did not deserve it.
