What's everyone doing this weekend?

Work all day, homework all night, school at six in the morning tomorrow. Bleh.  Only 6 more weeks and then this godawful class will be over forever.  Hopefully SO and I will go see a movie tomorrow.  I'm babysitting my parent's dog, so I have to rework my weekend around that too.  Poor thing has had an ongoing UTI for six months that we can't get rid of.  She's on like five different types of medication.

    Happy birthday, Jells!

I'm getting my hair done this afternnon and FI and I will probably go grab some wings and beer.

Tomorrow morning I have the Veterans' Day Parade for work. No plans tomorrow night really...I'm sure we'll do something.

Sunday I'm doing my Bridal portraits! I'm most excited to get my hair done and test out my makeup skills. I'm doing them at a local winery.

You guys have fun stuff going on! Happy birthday jells!
I talked DH into going to a bonfire tonight which is amazing because he's usually super antisocial and I go to things alone.
Tomorrow I'm driving bout an hour and a half to visit my college bestie and her daughter. Haven't seen them in almost a year.

We're hosting Thanksgiving for my family this year, and we're STILL trying to find storage for wedding stuff (mine and another one I made a ton of DIY stuff for). I have to unpack all of my china that's been sitting in shopping bags for 8 years so we can remove the price stickers and get them cleaned. OH! And I might actually get to spend a few minutes with my husband for the first time in months.

    Happy birthday Jells!!!

Tonight I am going to a wine and cigar pairing at a cigar lounge with DH.  He likes cigars, he has a humidor that holds like 500 at the house. . . . I like wine, so it's a good compromise.  We'll likely get bibimbap for dinner after.  Tomorrow I work at the winery all day, then tomorrow night I am going to a live showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show with my sister and a work friend.  We try to go every year.  It's soooooo much fun.  It's a midnight showing, and there is a bar next to the theater so we'll have a few cocktails and catch the show.  I'll likely try to sleep in Sunday then.  When I finally wake up I plan on eating an egg sandwich from the deli, bumming on the couch with the dog and trying to avoid doing laundry!

Test it on a not-noticeable part first, but you can get stickers off like NOTHING if you go at them with nail polish remover.

I'm going to test both nail polish remover and Goo Gone. Luckily, my Lenox is dishwasher safe so I can get all the residue off from whichever one I end up using. I'm kind of pissed, though, because Lenox put the price stickers right on the canvas of all the plates and the insides of all the bowls. What idiot really thinks it's a good idea to put adhesive crap on the eating surface?!

We have a super boring weekend ahead.

Tonight FI works late, so I'll go grocery shopping and make something easy for dinner. Then we'll stay in and cuddle while we watch cartoons and/or Doctor Who. He's wayyyyy behind, but we're almost done with Martha, finally!!

Tomorrow I will sleep in as late as I feel like, then go look at an apartment for us, then come home and play Everquest for the entire rest of the day. Then he has a hockey game, after which we'll probably just come home and stay home, most likely.

@slothiegal OMG, the QWOP gif is killing me over here. Hahahahaha. I love QWOP.

    Good luck on your run!!

    @Jells2dot0 -- Happy birthday!!

About a month ago, my stupid self signed up for a half marathon on a whim....and then didn't properly train.

So tonight it's ALL THE CARBS:

Tomorrow it is ALL THE PAIN:

Tomorrow afternoon, the in-laws are arriving in town for a few days, so hopefully we'll score a good dinner out of it:

Sunday, if my legs are working, I think I'm going to drag myself downtown and treat myself to some wine tasting:

    (Happy birthday Jells!  Feel better!)
Good luck! In my book you are a badass for even attempting that! I wouldn't even run if Jason Voorhies was after me.

@cookiepusher Sell those wedding crafts! (well assuming you're already married I might be wrong?) I had a guest room FULL, and I posted the items on a local facebook page and sold everything within 2 weeks!

Thanks all!  I ran my first half in May, and have been running short distances on a semi-regular basis so....we'll see.  Whatever, there's a RIDICULOUSLY gracious cut off limit/pace, so at least there's a little bit of pressure off.

@esstee33, little known fact, QWOP is actually based off of me at the end of a long run.  It's not a pretty sight.

    Probably just bumming around tonight...

Speaking with a potential officiant tomorrow! And Sunday going to a tasting for a potential caterer! Think after this tasting we're going to book our caterer! Another big thing to check off the list!

@slothiegal good luck! I did my first (and last) half marathon a few years ago. I didn't realize it was one of the hardest ones in the US when I signed up for it. If I survived, I'm sure you will do great!

I'm totally going to once all of my engaged friends let me know what things they want first. The worst, though, is the huge boxes of stuff from my friend's wedding that are sitting in the living room. I keep trying to schedule a time for her to pick them up (and for me to get back some things I lent her) but I've gotten radio silence. ARGH.

I think my weekend is blissfully lowkey. However, I have a metric shit ton of crap I'd sort-of like to get done today, so there's that. In order of doing:
    - deposit my paycheck
    - get gas
    - get my ring inspected and cleaned
    - go by Verizon and use my Secret Jedi Mind Powers to get a new phone 16 days early
    - go grocery shopping
    - while doing all this, find something little for FI that he DOESN'T know about - his bday is Tuesday and he spoiled his own damn present a month ago by just guessing it out of the wild blue. Over his crap.
    - ...and I just realized that FI will have to work the night of his birthday, unless they close for Veteran's Day. My day just got ruined.

I guess Saturday may be FI's birthday dinner night. Phooie.

ETA Happy birthday Jells! I made myself sad and forgot to wish you happies, hahaha.

Our place is small but we seem to do a lot of entertaining for large groups. We have Thanksgiving this year, New Year's Day, at least a week of St. Paddy's Day - and that's just this winter. I don't know what else we'll end up hosting next year.

Happy birthday @Jells2dot0‌! Tonight FI and I will have our weekly date night. We just have to figure out what we want to do! Today is also my brother's birthday and tomorrow I'm going to my parents house to celebrate his and my cousin (MOH)'s birthdays. FI will go to NJ to get his kids and they'll stay over tomorrow night. Sunday we will do something with the kids then take them back to their mom's Sunday night.

Gone Girl was awesome.  A very dark take on marriage, though.

Tonight I'm by myself in the apt and will likely binge watch Don't Trust the Bitch in Apt 23 and drink white wine.  I'm really excited about it. FI has a place up north and recently bought a tractor that he's really into.  I'll help him clear trees tomorrow.  Sunday afternoon I'm meeting our wedding photographer in Portland, Maine and also want to check out some of the cute shops downtown.

With this Nov weather I'm not feeling as social but really need to punch winter in the face.  Will make plans with friends for next week.

FI is going out of town tonight so I'm going to finish up some work at home, then curl up with some good cheese, a bottle glass of wine, and the Xbox 360.

    image

Tomorrow we're going to try to get Comic-Con preregistration tickets (fingers crossed)

    image

And I'm grabbing brunch with a friend

    image

Then hanging out with the furbabies and relaxing the rest of the weekend

    image

Also, I'm now becoming somewhat obsessed with gifs.
