When you take off your rings,...

Re: When you take off your rings,...

  • I have a cute little ring dish from Crate and Barrel that's shaped like a heart and says "Mr and Mrs."  When I come home, my rings (and his) immediately go there. It's in the bedroom on a nightstand.

We're both the types that don't bother with rings or other jewelry while home and only put stuff on to leave the home.

(The dish comes in "Mr and Mr" and "Mrs and Mrs" versions too!)

I am wondering how many of you ladies who keep your rings on top of dressers or nightstands have young children?  My mother raged at me for years, insisting I swallowed her rings as a toddler.

No kids. No plans for kids. Everything stays exactly where I leave it in our house.

Oooh, must be rough!  I can never find stuff, and my kids are long grown and gone!  I've been missing a favorite necklace for about 8 months.

  • I put it...I put it...damn it where the fuck is my ring!

That's where I put it. Because I have no real place for it. At work if I take it off, I stick it in an altoid tin I have that I stick any jewelry I have to take off in (before I glove up), but nothing at home. I don't take it off a lot, it's flat, there are no stones of any kind on it and it's easy to clean. But when I do take it off..I manage to forget where I put it.
