What does everyone have planned for the weekend?

Tonight my FI and I are grabbing sushi and then going to the good movie theater (with recliners, assigned seating and the special freestyle Coke machine) to see Interstellar.

Tomorrow, I'm getting my hair blown out at 8:30 am and then we are going up to Connecticut to visit friends of his and their 6 month old who we haven't met yet!  We also haven't seen them since we've been engaged so lots of fun!  Then we will be back in the city to have our engagement photos in Central Park!  Saturday night we have dinner plans with another couple!

Sunday we will head out to NJ to spend the day with FI's kids to celebrate his bday (which is actually Monday.)  We are planning on brunch and bowling!

Then Monday (not still the weekend but whatever) FI's 2 besties and I are surprising him with Ryan Adams tickets at Carnegie Hall!

Re: What does everyone have planned for the weekend?

  • Sounds like a fun weekend!

Tonight I am finishing up addressing invitations and mailing them tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow night FSIL is throwing us a couple's shower.

Sunday, the church is throwing us a shower.

    Busy weekend!

  • Work.

    Christmas is coming ya'll.

  • Our application for our apartment was approved, so we'll be spending the weekend mostly sorting and packing his stuff. He's got a ton in storage that we want to go through before we move in together. I'm going through all my old bullshit while I pack up my apartment, so that'll be done already.

Combining two apartments means lots of trips to Goodwill!
  • Sounds like you have a fantastic weekend planned, OP!

Tonight my college basketball team (Syracuse Orange!) has their first game of the season so my butt is going to be parked on the couch with my pup and a beer. H will finally be fixing the drywall that he decided he could fix on his own two weeks but has instead remained as a hole in my wall until I put my foot down the other night.

Tomorrow will probably be a trip to the vet and then we're going to a huge in-store tasting event at the local liquor store. 50 different wines, spirits and cider from 10-12 different wineries and distilleries. Plus there will be lots of cheese to pair with it!

Sunday will be football for H and probably more hole in the wall fixing. I'll most likely spend the day cleaning and maybe trying out some meal planning.

  • Oh wow that sounds like an awesome jam-packed weekend! I saw Interstallar last weekend, sat in the front row for an IMAX showing. It was crazy good.

This weekend I may catch up with some old friends for a bit, but nothing crazy. BF and I usually reserve Saturdays as our day to do something fun together, so we may find a hiking trail or something if it's not crazy cold. I also need to clean my apartment, like dust the place, the whole shebang, because it's been way too long.

  • Sounds like you have a great weekend planned! Can't wait for your e-pic AW!

Tonight H and I are celebrating our monthiversary a little early and are going out for a seafood dinner.

Tomorrow I have to take my beagle to the vet to get her annual shots and check up. They will have her all day. While I am waiting on her I will get a wax then I am going shopping for a bday gift for my mom and to get the rest of H's bday presents (my mom and 's bdays are a week apart).

Sunday I will grocery shop and then I plan on doing nada!

  • I want to see Interstellar!  It's like 3 hours long though, so I'm not sure if we'll see it in theaters or wait to rent it.

Going to see Travis Tritt in concert tonight - there's been heaps of 90s country acts coming into town recently.  Or older - we saw Alabama back in September.  In 2 weeks we'll see Martina McBride.

tomorrow hopefully I'll get to meet up with a message board friend that I've chatted with for 12+ years but haven't met in person yet - she's from Ohio but loves the Chiefs and is coming into town for the game.  I'm excited to meet another one of my "imaginary" friends!

  • We have nothing planned!! I have a chiro appointment right after work, and that's it. I foresee some glasses of wine, any maybe chilling outside with the firepit if it's not too cold.

Sunday we're doing brunch at my friend's house.
  • J has been in the city training for his new job for the last three nights, so today I'm going in to spend the night with him (I actually have the weekend off!  Shift work = that doesn't happen often).  Then he's home tomorrow for one night before heading back in on Sunday for another four nights.

So this weekend is date night + hotel sex, tomorrow is Suzy Homemaker night with pot roast, and then Sunday I get to be a football widow for the first time before he goes back.

  • Tonight we're getting drinks with FI's bestie and his fiancee. They just got engaged on Sunday and I am SUPER excited for them.

Tomorrow I'm getting sushi with @jenna8984 and then I'm heading back home for birthday dins with FI's family at a really bland restaurant over by us. It makes me sad that his mom and dad love it because there are muuuuuuuch better restaurants around, but whatever. Gonna get something different again and hope they get it right.

I think after that we're going to try to get drinks with another couple we're friends with. A is waiting for her ring to come in to the jeweler and I can not waaaaaaiiiiiiiit to see it. The comp designs she showed me were SO GORGEOUS.

Sunday is going to be a Destiny/Halo day. FI is still chomping at the bit for those games.

  • Tonight I am working "Fish and Sips" for the winery where I work.  The girl I'm doing it with is awesome, and I do love me some free wine. . . .so it should be a lot of fun.  I have to figure out what to wear before 5pm though, and i'm clueless because tonight is the first really cold night we've had.

I don't have to work at the winery either day this weekend so I think DH is planning something fun.  Deirks Bentley is playing at the casino, Mohegan Sun tomorrow night, and I think he might by trying to get tickets as we speak. . . . . I could always go for some country music and roulette!

Aw a beagle?  I grew up with beagles!  Such sweeties!

  • FI and I are going back to the western side of the state on Saturday to see both of our parents.

I'm going with my mom to pick up (and try on) my wedding dress... it came in last week! I'm so excited, but I've also been having bad dreams about it not fitting.

And then Saturday night we'll see his parents and go out for his dad's birthday.
  • I'm on my own this weekend! DH has standing Friday plans with the dudes, then a diaper party for a dad-to-be friend Saturday, and he's taking his grandpa hunting on Sunday.

  • We're taking FSIL out for a birthday dinner tonight. FI isn't getting along with her right now and she always hates every gift (and I still bothered to get exactly what she asked for although I know it's pointless), so I'm really not looking forward to it.

Tomorrow we're helping some friends move and hopefully it'll be warmer than -20, because that is going to be a cold move.

Sunday we're just hanging out and making BBQ pizzas with FI's dad and stepmom.

  • NEW CELL PHONE TONIGHT (I hope). And then reading. And then FI will be home, so spending time with him instead of sleeping like I've done the last couple of nights.

FOOTBALL TOMORROW. Only three more games (and then whichever bowl we get). Football season goes so fast.

I have no idea what Sunday looks like. Sophie needs a bath, but I'm afraid it'll be too cold. It's supposed to be rainy, too; washing a dog in the rain is much more annoying than washing a car.

    I love to AW her.

  • Lazy night snuggling with DH tonight. I'm making THIS. So excited for the yumminess.

Tomorrow DH works and I'm gonna do chores and lay around catching up on Parenthood all day. Then we leave for Orlando to visit my parents! They are gonna be down in FL going to a family wedding, and they are paying to fly us down and hang out with them for a long weekend. Excited for a little sun and temps above 30 degrees!!

  • We just got home.  A day late because of weather.     Our plans are hitting up the grocery store, stocking up and just relaxing with the dogs.

  • I'm going to a wedding!
    At a winery!
    I'm so excited.

  • My birthday, a back massage, and dinner at a Tapas bar!
Happy Bday! And happy invitation sending, @emmaaa!

DH is in Japan, so I have the crib to myself! Whenever he's not home I make a huge list of stuff I want/need to do (I f-ing love lists). But usually what happens is Netflix and snuggling my cat. I can't avoid doing prep work for my sister's baby shower thought. Gots get that done.

Also, I'm caving and joining this gym near my house. I already have a gym membership somewhere else, but this other gym is pretty sick. I've been putting it off because it's over $100/month. But all the classes are included and it has everything. Plus, I'm justifying it as an investment in my overall health. Gahhhh.

  • Tonight, I have 2 friends coming over for dinner at our new apartment and tomorrow H and I are headed into the city to see Beautiful, the Carole King Musical and Matilda!
  • Tonight we're going to see Dumb and Dumber To, with a group of friends.  I owe this to H because he saw Gone Girl with me last month and was mortified through the whole thing.  Ha!

Then tomorrow we are heading to New Orleans!  We got tickets for the matinee showing of Phantom of the Opera on Sunday at Saenger Theater.  So we'll drive down tomorrow to visit Mulate's for some jambalaya and then hit up Bourbon St. for some hand grenades.  Sunday morning we'll stop at Cafe Du Monde and then head to our show.  It should be a nice little 30-hour getaway, haha.
  • Fun weekend! Where is this reclining movie theater that you speak of, and how do I not know about it?

Tonight, I'm planning on going kickboxing and addressing more std's. Although, I already went to the gym on my lunch break, so if an impromptu happy hour occurs, I may not say no. Tomorrow, I am going kickboxing in the early afternoon, then just hanging around, more std's. In the evening, I'm going to visit my friend in BK, and we're going to have some drinks at her apt, then head out to dinner. Sunday, no plans. Hopefully finishing the std's and watching football with FI.

  • @pinkcow13 it's on the UWS, it's the AMC on Broadway and 84th.  Supposed to be awesome!  It's like getting tix to a broadway show, you pick your actual seats!

There is on in NOLA.   Reclining seats, table side service (food and booze).   Ruined me for life going to movies.

  • H and I are going shopping for new xmas decoration and going to costco tomorrow.

And hopefully just resting up from this cold we have been fighting the last two weeks.

  • FI is on call for most of the weekends leading up to Christmas so we are taking the opportunity of him having tonight and tomorrow off to head to the next town over for a 'date weekend' and to get our holiday shopping done. There is really not much shopping where we live so it will be nice to get to 'the big city' (2 hours away) and grab a nice dinner and see a movie and hopefully have a successful shopping trip.
