Re: What does everyone have planned for the weekend?

  • I'm going shopping with my sister tomorrow.
  • Yay sushi with Beethery tomorrow! Hopefully painting the bathroom on Sunday. Monday we decided to play hooky and go see Dumb & Dumber.
@lacqueredlover I can't wait to see some sneak peeks of your shoot tomorrow, Central Park is so beautiful!

Fun weekend! Where is this reclining movie theater that you speak of, and how do I not know about it?

Tonight, I'm planning on going kickboxing and addressing more std's. Although, I already went to the gym on my lunch break, so if an impromptu happy hour occurs, I may not say no. Tomorrow, I am going kickboxing in the early afternoon, then just hanging around, more std's. In the evening, I'm going to visit my friend in BK, and we're going to have some drinks at her apt, then head out to dinner. Sunday, no plans. Hopefully finishing the std's and watching football with FI.
There is on in NOLA.   Reclining seats, table side service (food and booze).   Ruined me for life going to movies.

Table side booze at the movies? Omg that would ruin it for me too! I've been to that theater years ago on 86 and it did not have the reclining seats! We tend to go to the one on 68tg and Broadway.

  • Headed to a bachelorette party in a little bit and then a baby shower tomorrow. Grading papers on Sunday, as usual.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • Heading out to a "Black Tie Wedding" with the FH. It should be ultra fun and live up to the BT standards.

it does now! And it is amazing. Also, I live across the street. I also used to live around the corner from the one on 68th. :)

  • We have those movie theaters here in San Diego, too. Recliners, love seats, select your seat in advance, dinner service and booze brought to you on a little table with a lamp next to your seat. Too bad the food sucks. But good thing they can't mess up wine!

I usually work weekends but I'm off this weekend.

I am hosting a baby shower tomorrow for the first time. It's pretty non-traditional. Sorry, not sorry. There will just be 5 of us and I'm doing a sit down lunch on my back patio.  Lots of awesome food and beverages but no games. Let's chit chat and talk about something other than placing bets on the circumference of our friend's uterus. Alcohol will be served. Hope they don't think I'm a party pooper (re: no games). Mingle, eat, presents, eat some more, enjoy 70 degrees and sunny in November outside, take home a beautiful little potted succulent, have a nice day.

    Sunday = football.

  • I've had a KILLER migraine for the past couple days, so I've been MIA from TK  :(  It's starting to let up, but I tried getting caught up on E, and that just seemed to make it worse...

H and I talked about going rock climbing with his cousin tomorrow, and I might try to get some Christmas shopping done.  This time of the year always goes by way too fast...

  • We went and spent a small fortune at BB&B and Walmart tonight to get things we need for Thanksgiving and knock out a bunch of Christmas shopping.

Tomorrow, DH has to work in the late morning/early afternoon while I do some more cleaning. We'll watch some college football when he gets home. Then I'll do some light grocery shopping (he's away next week so I only need some basic stuff for me) and make something tasty for dinner.

Sunday, DH has to work again. I have a trip to the farmer's market to get some awesome jam from my jam lady (I loooooooooooooove jam and yes, I have a jam lady). After that, I'll bum around at home with DH before I have to take him to the airport at the crack of dawn.

  • Nothing!!  I have  massage booked for tomorrow.  I coached tonight after work, and my team won, so we've made playoffs.  Yay and boo!!  I'm sleeping in and getting crepes for breakfast.  Practice all day Sunday.

  • Today we took the little one to the aquarium then went out to dinner. Sadly I was the last day if BF's 4 day "weekend" so he's back to work tomorrow. Tomorrow is dance class with the little one and them Sunday we are going out to dinner with family for my grandfathers birthday.

  • Yesterday was my last day at my old job. Today is my bridal shower- which is hosted by my MOH from afar because she's in this stupid thing called the Army. So she did the arrangements and I think her mom, sister, and my FSIL are going to be the actual hosts. Did I mention I love her and her dedication to being a great friend/MOH even when the army is kicking her ass?
The bad thing is that because of the shower, I'm going to miss Bama/MSU (war damn MSU!) and the South's Oldest Rivalry today. Lucky FI, he gets to hang out with my dad during the shower and watch what will hopefully be Bama's breaking point.
Tomorrow it looks like the plan is to make another trip to my apartment and load up general sundry items. I hope I will also have time to raid my friend's wedding collection. She had a burlap n mason jar wedding and I'm having more of an "Americana" wedding (my friend decided that's what it was after I was trying to define my style), but I figure I could still use some of her vases and stuff.
And also... DIY last minute to the MAX. This is a terrible photo of our half finished wreaths but let me just tell you- my friend is AMAZING. I suck at crafting so she has been pretty much doing all of it for me.
  • It's officially cold here, so I made a huge pot of chili last night.  It's some of my best chili yet!

Later today, I'll go hang with my family before heading over to friend/bridesmaid's engagement party.  I'm a little annoyed with my friend right now, but I obviously can't say anything today, and I also feel like I have nothing to wear.  So I'm not as excited as I should be about it.

Really, though, I'm already looking forward to next weekend because I get to go see STEVIE WONDER!!!!!!!  Cannot wait for that show!  I just hope everyone else is dancing because I don't think I can listen to his music without shaking my ass!

  • So the Black Tie wedding we attended tonight was very...odd. They had everything right for the criteria of a Black Tie wedding: Live Band,  multi-course dinner, valet services, swanky wedding venue, attire was on point, but there was no bar. They opted out of serving cocktails, wine, beer, and anything in between.  It was really weird that all there was to drink was water, sweet, unsweetened tea, and soda.  Dinner was five courses and it felt somewhat empty that wine was missing with my meal. Also the cocktail hour was just passed appetizers and people were starting to leave around  8:30/9. Everything else fit the criteria but the lack of bar. The wedding was in the evening as well. The bride and groom really wanted guest to party the rest of the night away with them since they had the grand ballroom until after midnight.

  • I just went to see Interstellar and it kinda sucked. It looked good and all but it was ridiculous. I kept laughing to myself. And FI's comment was "that wormhole really tied the room together."
