FWP (first world problems)

I bought brie that I'm dying to bake but last night I was too full from 2nd Thanksgiving at friend's house, and tonight I'm too full from taco dinner. Damn-it, why did I have to stuff myself and not save room for brie?!

The only two bands that I EVER pay money to see in concert both went on sale the same day! So in addition to booking Europe and buying gifts for people, I had to spend much more on myself than normal. I hate when expenses happen at once (even though they are fun and I can afford them which makes it a total FWP).

Re: FWP (first world problems)

  • I'm gaining weight because I'm lazy and eat junk food, as such, my clothes don't fit. I want new clothes.

Almost all of my night shifts for the next two weeks got changed to swing shifts, and I'm upset cause now I have to actively plan my trips to SS and the DMV for my name change as opposed to being like, oh, i'll just go in early on this day.

  • Concert tickets going on sale in December is just stupid.  Don't they know we have other financial obligations?

I was going to get Kenny Chesney yesterday, but he comes on a Saturday in August.  Prime work time for DH.  Plus it's in Denver which requires an overnight stay.   We will just suck it up and buy them from StubHub or something once we see if he can get the night off.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

Seriously!! I don't understand why they go on sale so early. Aaron Lewis is in February so that's understandable but Foo Fighters at Fenway Park is not until mid July!

  • I have to work from home tonight partially because my boss ate up the last hour and a half of my day with a team happy hour at Mitchell's Fish Market where he paid for the apps and first round of drinks, aka bacon-wrapped shrimp and a yummy honey bourbon somethin' or other.

...and partially because I was knotting when I should have been working.

Oh man, I almost tried to look up what I'd be getting today, then thought "no Lolo, wait for the happy surprise!" Fuck.

ETA they still only list my November box even though my autopay came out last week. Bastards.

  • Even your little Chef has a chef hat! @lyndausvi‌
  • I have run out of room to store all my Le Creuset. It's bad, really bad. But I keep buying more of it because... well... why not?? And I have more wine glasses than I have storage space for (just picked up 12 more champagne flutes for, like, dirt cheap). Why do all of my nice things have to take up so much space?!

I have WAY too many wine glasses, lager glasses, well actually cup/glasses in general.  And shot glasses. OMG, you would think we do shots all the time with the amount of shot glasses we have.

One thing we do not have is an ice bucket.

We are going Saturday with the The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. I am so excited to see them since it has been over 10 years since I have seen them.

DH and I look like a pair of hardcore alcoholics with the amount of glassware/barware we own. We finally bought an ice bucket a few years ago at Ikea since it was relatively cheap and we were thinking of it at the time. We always forgot when we were out elsewhere. And, of course, we never USE the ice bucket now that we have it!

I have shot AND pilsner glasses from Hard Rocks around the world.  The wine glasses from different part of the world.  Then more shot glasses.  And then more wine glasses. Oddly only 3 champagne classes.  It's a sickness.

  • I was trying to convince DH that we should take a roadtrip to Boston to see DKM (since we used one of their songs are our first dance and all), but we realized that neither of us is in physical condition to handle SRO anymore. Between his knees and my back, we're be unable to move by the end of the show. Damn, I feel old. :(

  • I have so many clothes that my closet is literally starting to fall apart.  Shelves bowing, screws looking dangerously close to popping out from the walls...but I still waste an obscene amount of time getting ready  because I feel like I have nothing to wear.

Us too! Well, shot glasses. Most of our pint glasses were bought while we were traveling or "borrowed" from bars we went to. We had a couple of champagne flutes that I bought years ago, but we just bought more at Ikea last week because they were 6/$1.92. So yea, 12 new flutes to find homes for.

I am in a swap/sell group on FB and one of the women posted this comment. You might have to type it in and not copy and paste to get it to work though: Https://www.birchbox.com/me/boxes/women/2014/12

  • I made cookies and they're not quite right. They taste wonderful but they're cakey and I wanted them chewy. I always use the same recipe but I looked it up online from my phone because I was too lazy to grab the cookbook from my shelf. I'm guessing there was a difference in the versions.

I'm out of the office tomorrow (DH's mom needs a ride to chemo) so I'm trying to work tonight. Instead, I'm eating cookies and watching Jane the Virgin. Trying to tell myself that ignoring subtitles is helping me with my Spanish. Also trying to get DH to empty the Christmas gifts that I was too lazy to pull out of my trunk before tomorrow since the hospital only has valet parking. I'm failing to convince him that he should do it.

  • I am still working... at home, in my pajamas, on a recliner, with several glasses of wine. WAHHHHHH my life is hard.
  • I did birchbox for about a year last year. But I cancelled it once I started getting duplicates of things.

Now I really want to go the Foo Fighters show! U2 is also playing in Boston in July.

I got a bunch of presents (for other people) that I'd ordered from Amazon, so there are empty boxes all over our dining room. Also, I now have a dining room table full of presents to wrap.

I went to the drug store to pick up my prescription and decided to buy some queso dip. They only had medium, not mild, but I bought it anyway. Now I have to drink milk when I eat my snack.

I got my new iPhone a few days before the case I'd ordered, so now I have to be careful with it. I'm so scared I'm going to scratch it.

(I felt like such an ass typing all of these FWPs, but they're making me laugh. :) Perspective, yo. I haz it.)
  • I have no more single friends.  No more weddings in my future for a long time.  Someone I know needs to get divorced already and marry quick on the rebound so I can go to a wedding.

  • I don't understand why my damn knickers are being half swallowed by my butt crack. Bitches are not even a thong.
