To my bosses.  And I know it's one of you doing this.  B/c all of the support staff talks about how maddening it is.

STOP PUTTING THE BUSINESS LAPTOPS AWAY DEAD OR OTHERWISE INCAPACITATED.  Stop giving them to your stupid kids who apparently treat it with no respect.  Stop putting them away with MISSING POWER CORDS.  Stop putting them away when they NEED UPDATES.  Just take care of the stuff.  You'll moan and complain about overhead costs, yet not do the very simple act of taking care of what this office already owns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Addendum:  Stop stealing the damn jump drives too.  Bring them back, we need them.  They're not expensive, but seriously, do I need to buy one EVERY DAMN TIME I NEED ONE.

    UGH, yes.

    Because of people who do this, I have to have one of my student workers spend an hour each week making sure all the laptops work, because otherwise they're all janked up when we need them for a class.
    I'm sure that faculty has better things to do, but when you borrow a few grand worth of equipment, just make sure your student aren't putting them back like grashopper-witted heathens.
