It's Tuesday!

I'm wearing a new dress, and it's like having on fancy PJs because it's so comfy but very cute.  That's like the best thing ever, after having fresh sheets on the bed, don't you think?

What's going on with everyone? 

I went to bed last night slightly hungry, but I kept waking up because my stomach was growling.  Finally around 1:45 I got up and had a piece of WW bread with PB on it, and then went right to sleep and slept until my alarm went off at 5:15.  Note to self, don't go to bed hungry!

@CocoBellaF -I can't go to bed hungry, I wouldn't be able to fall asleep.

I'm being annoying and calling our car insurance company each day until I get a call back. I want our money back that we fronted and I will be persistent until it's in our hands.

Tonight I really need to vacuum the upstairs. It has been collecting bits and pieces of Maddux's bones that he rips apart. I also really need to shave. 

Besides that, not much is going on. We need to get a move on with getting our loan set up so I'll probably pester DH to sit down with me tonight so we can decide when to go into our Credit Union to do that.

southernpeach89 Good for you! They owe you that money, and I would be doing the same. I love that you combined vacuuming with needing to shave haha. 

Last night I went to Ulta after work because they're having a sale on all professional shampoo and conditioner.  I ended up also talking to the dermologica specialist who suggested I try the ultra calming line.  I have extremely sensitive skin and slight rosacea, and most skin products make me break out in a rash.  So far I haven't had a rash or any kind of breakout so I think I will stick with them.   I also went food shopping last night and stocked up on fruits and veggies.  Currently munching on a blood orange, I forgot how good these oranges taste.

@speakeasy14 - I found it at LOFT Outlet.  It is kind of like THIS, but the fabric is a blue/white weave instead of color-blocked.

And I love blood oranges!  I bought some cara cara oranges last week at Sprouts, but I need to pick up some blood oranges, too.  YUM.  I love when citrus fruits are in season, even though I miss eating a peach (or two) every day during the summer.

I'm already over this day.  I'm in the worst mood and just want to crawl under my blankets and hide.  Unfortunately that won't happen today.  My show closed over the weekend so that has me sad too.  I would just like to be home sleeping and snuggling with H.  I have rehearsal tonight too, that I just don't feel like going to either.  I'm a ton of fun today.

@southernpeach89 - That's so annoying, I would be calling them multiple times a day until someone gets back to you. I'm currently doing that with my apartment, they've said I can't have any more paid overnight passes until I pay for the ones from December, but they haven't sent me an invoice or told me how much I owe them. I'm super irritated; luckily the guys at the front desk like me so they've let FI stay the last 2 nights without a pass.

@speakeasy14 - I am loving that it is time for good grapefruit! Yum yum yum.

Nothing exciting over here. I had a nice evening to myself since FI went to the hockey game with his dad. I made yummy fish and broccoli in paper and had wine and watched the bachelor, and then was in bed nice and early.

FI and I are going to look at cars again tonight. We can't agree on what to trade his car in for. On the one hand he wants to get something he likes since he's trading in his car, but on the other hand I'm going to be driving the new car every day so I want to get something that I like too. Hopefully taking another look tonight will help us get it all sorted out.

@peaseblossom55- I feel you on today! I am not in the mood. I am convincing myself that this week will fly by since I had yesterday off. We'll see how that goes. I hope it gets better for you!

I woke up very late this morning, resulting in kinda messy hair and no accessories worn today. It feels like a Monday- hate that feeling of being "off". I have homework club after school, so there's no peacing out early either. I hope I can just make dinner super quick tonight and lounge on the couch for the rest of the night!

Hi Everybody!!

I'm FREEZING and I shouldn't be; it's warmer in the office than normal.

I don't have much going on.  Today seems much better than the other day (except I'm extremely tired; it's dark and gloomy and cold and wet outside, so a good sleeping day).  I was able to have a heart to heart with myself and it made me feel a bunch less stressed.  Basically I just decided I'm not going to worry about getting overtime anymore and things like that.

@peaseblossom55 & @500days - I'm really off today too. I'd like to go back to bed and start all over.

Last night, I finished up editing the photos for @IrishDreamer. S was so freaking pretty, I had so much fun. Now I just need to get to the post office and mail the DVD!

On another note, I had this really violent sneeze/cough thing last night that somehow created enough pressure that my ears popped and my sinuses/nose/throat/chest all still hurt this morning. Maybe that's why I feel off?

This is a super short week for me... I was off yesterday and I'm off Friday.  Of course, I had to work from home over the weekend (a few hours on Saturday and Sunday) but it'll be nice to have a super short week!  My ultrasound/labwork is scheduled for Friday, so it won't really be a "day off", but at least I won't be at work.

The closing went smoothly, the move went smoothly, and thanks to my amazing family, we're almost completely unpacked in the house! I'm so in love

My babies came home on Saturday and that was definitely the highlight of my weekend. I missed them so much, I cried when they got to the house. 

H and I are going to look at furniture this week. We need a new couch and a new bedroom set. We stopped at a thrift store on Sunday and found a kick ass dining room table and chairs that we're going to sand, stain and paint this weekend. Everything is really coming together!

I have $150 in gift cards to Loft/Ann Taylor plus a bunch of coupons... and they're sending me a $20 rewards card from their credit card... and I've been searching and searching and searching their website for things to buy, and somehow I missed that dress. Totally going on the list! Thank you for posting that! *ETA* Ugh, it doesn't come in petite sizes. That's why I've never seen it. Sadness

@southernpeach89 You really have to bug insurance companies once a day to get anywhere. It's so annoying. I really hope you get your money back ASAP! It took FI a year to get money back from his dental insurance... but he dropped the ball on calling them for a few months too. I'm sure you'll have much better results with your car insurance.

@speakeasy14 Let me know what you think of that line of skin care products. I have super sensitive skin too... always have a patch of eczema somewhere on me... so I definitely understand how hard it is to find products that don't irritate your skin.

@lmcooper86 What cars are you guys thinking about? Which is your favorite and which is his?

@Swazzle YAYAYAYAYAY! Can't wait to see pics once you guys are all settled. 

My weekend was great! Very relaxing. Friday night we saw The Imitation Game, which was OK... not Oscar-worthy... plot was all over the place. Afterwards we had some friends over, and I knitted while they played a new board game (Eldritch Horror). They left around midnight, and I promptly passed out lol.

Saturday FI and I were super productive. We dropped my car off to get it washed and detailed and have the oil changed, and then we had a lunch date and went to Half Price Books and B&N. Then we took my car to have the tires rotated, and we went to the grocery store for the first time in two weeks. Saturday night we had more friends over, but my sinuses were all clogged, so I got a bad headache. I strapped a sinus soothing heating pad to my forehead and knitting while I watched them play more of Eldritch Horror. Our friend N (who always annoys me/pisses me off) did make a comment to FI that he's gained a lot of weight and needs to watch what he eats, which enraged me. She was saying that she saw an old pic of him from about 5 years ago and realized how much weight he's gained since then, and she didn't seem to listen to us when we said he was underweight when that pic was taken... back then he was 6'2" and 140 pounds, and he's now about 170 and healthy. He's one of those guys that just can't hold on to weight no matter how much he eats, but as he's gotten older, his metabolism is finally slowing down to a normal rate. Anywho, I just can't believe she had the audacity to say that... and then even after we explained that he's now normal, she insisted he had a potbelly. It was just... ugh. Rude! FI shook it off, so I need to do the same.

The rest of the weekend FI and I stayed in our pajamas and vegged out. It was awesome! Yesterday we made Dr. Pepper pulled pork in the crock pot, and it was delicious. We'll be eating it all week though lol.

I started PiYo yesterday too, and I think I'm going to really like it. I only did the alignment/basics yesterday, and I'm sore today. I've definitely regressed quite a bit since before the surgery. I'm looking forward to today's workout.

What PiYo work out did you do??  I have Lower Body tonight (my faaaavorite, I feel so stretched out and loose afterwards) plus a short run tonight.  We need to be PiYo buddies!!

I'm sad to be back at work. I managed to keep myself busy the entire weekend, and I loved it! I think we were bums on friday night and just watched friends and made dinner.

Saturday we were supposed to go wine tasting, but my BF decided to not take pain killers so he could enjoy the wine and ended up being so miserable that we couldn't go at all! So I took the pup for a play date with his husky girlfriend, and then went to dinner by myself at my friend's house almost an hour away.

Sunday my BF left to go shoot his gun and I went to a friend's house to watch the Packers/Hawks game. That was CRAZY! I was truly rooting for the Packers, but then I remembered that a good friend of mine from work has a bet going that if the Hawks win the SB again he has to shave their logo into his hair.... So I'm truly rooting for the Seahawks this year.

Yesterday I drove up to Olympia with the dog to visit my pregnant friend and her two pups. We barely got to catch up because the young dog energy was extremely chaotic. They'd do the thing where they'd be all lazy outside, then once we got indoors they'd start playing and knocking everything over. On the way home I stopped to see my sister and my nieces. I asked them to bring me their favorite book so I could read to them, and they brought a book that I got them for Christmas this year, which was awesome! Plus my 3 year old niece can read elementary level books. They're working on the Little House series together. It's crazy!

I feel so freakin refreshed today. I hope this fabulous mood lasts.

Good morning all!

We didn't get the chip in the windshield fixed yesterday, but it's not spreading so we're ok for a few days. I'm scheduling marriage counseling this morning with our pastor, and FI is setting up the hotel block (very small, so far we only need 5 rooms and we can add to it) and scheduling a plumber. Finally the kitchen sink will no longer live on the kitchen floor and the sink in the back bathroom will drain, and there is much rejoicing.

Last night's big activity was getting all the books shelved in the library. We bought a five-shelf bookcase from Walmart last fall because "we needed room to grow into" - yeah, hahahahaha. We've already filled it. We have two five-shelf bookcases and two three-shelf bookcases, so I have no idea what we're going to put in next. The rumor is FI will build me built-in bookshelves.

@CocoBellaF She doesn't have a filter. She frequently pisses me off and crosses social boundaries. She's FI's friend, so I just try and deal with it. For PiYo, I did the alignment/basics intro workout yesterday, which wasn't really a workout but ended up being one lol. It's the 45-minute one where she tells you all the moves you'll be doing and how to get proper posture. I demoed them with her, and it kicked my butt. Tonight is lower body for me too! I'm looking forward to it. 

@AlPacina Exactly! It's similar to when you think/know a woman is pregnant... you keep your mouth shut until they mention something, and even then, you deny deny deny! That's really sweet that your nieces love the book you got them for Christmas. And your 3-year-old niece is so smart!

@CocoBellaF - I need to do laundry really badly. I have a bunch of things that are delicate and need to be hand washed and they've been in the hamper for ages...I miss them!

@Swazzle - CONGRATULATIONS!!! That must be such a relief, I'm glad you have all your babies back too. How are they adjusting to the new house?

@speakeasy14 - I get 3 free overnight passes every month, and then additional nights are $5 each. I understand that they don't want people taking advantage of overnight parking, it's just beyond irritating that they don't send an invoice and then just cut off my passes. The building office hours are 8 - 5, and I'm never home at those hours; I need to leave for work before 8 and I don't get home until after 5, the building manager won't reply to my email and won't pick up her phone so I can't deal with this unless I come into work late. It's infuriating. Every time they pull shit like this I am more and more glad that we've bought a house and I'm getting the hell out of there.

@eilis1228 - He likes a sedan, I like a smaller SUV. The sedan just feels...blah. It looks like something we would consider buying in 20 years, not now. It feels old and boring and I'm just not crazy about it. FMIL stuck her nose in on Sunday and told me I "really need to cut him some slack because he's trading in his car you know". Ummmm thanks. I know what he's doing, I didn't ask him to trade in his car, and he's doing it of his own will to get a car that is better for US as a couple. That means I get just as much of a say, and it's none of your damn business thankyouverymuch. I didn't want him to trade in his car, but he knows he'll get a way better trade in value now when it's less than 2 years old as opposed to once I start driving it to work 5 days a week and start putting on more km. I get that he's doing this for us, but does that mean my opinion matters less and I should just agree to whatever car he wants? I don't think I'm being unreasonable since I'm going to be the one driving it most of the time, but someone please call me out if I'm in the wrong!

@Swazzle - Congrats on the house and having your babies back!!!

I don't have much going on life right now. This is my last week of training at my new job. Today and tomorrow I'm shadowing and Thursday and Friday I'm actually going to start with supervision, then next week I'm all on my own. I'm really excited for next week because for training I've had to drive an extra 30 minutes to get to the branch they do training at. Next week I get to shorten that commute to 20 minutes, yay!

@lmcooper86 You should both get an equal say in the car, and his mom needs to stay out of it entirely. Unless she's paying for the car, it's of no concern to her. He's buying it for you both, so you both should come to an agreement. You are completely in the right! Are both cars from the same manufacturer? If not, maybe research long-term maintenance issues/cost to see which will be better in the long run.

@lmcooper86 - They're doing well! Everyone is pretty much already adjusted except Bailey. He's having a harder time. He's walking around hissing and growling every now and then. Hopefully he relaxes soon!

I had an eye appointment today. Whoo. They dropped some liquids in my eyes and now I can't see anything. I have this page blown up to like 150% zoom just to be able to read it. I'm also sitting in darkness. Hope it goes away before work tonight.

No news on the home front. Boring Tuesday.

@eilis1228 - Thank you. I don't feel like I'm being unreasonable, but I'm biased lol. I don't like being told I "have" to do something, so it really got my back up that she threw that out there. She's not buying the car, she's not going to be driving the car, so it has nothing to do with her.

@Swazzle - Aw, poor guy, I hope he adjusts soon and looooves his new home. I know when I moved to my current apartment it was a LOT higher up than my previous place (currently on the 24th floor, used to be on the 8th with a terrace a couple floors down) Gambit was NOT impressed. For the first couple of weeks he would get up on the windowsill and look down and growl! I'm really excited to move him into the house in a few months, he'll have stairs to run up and down and he'll be able to watch birds and squirrels again. Kitty heaven!
