It took some serious concentration to figure out what you were saying haha. I was like wait.. is Carly dating Zak? Is 'Desiree's season' a show? She's Desiree's little sister? I had to literally say the words slowly in my head for it to make sense hahaha.

AH! Sorry. Yeah that made very little sense. For anyone else still confused - There was a contestant on the Bachelorette named Zak. Desiree was the Bachelorette that season. He was in the top 4 I think. Carly is his little sister.

Was it this guy? You have a way better memory than me. The only guys I remember from her season are the guy with the dreamy hair who decides to leave and makes her super upset (what was his name? I feel like he has one of those first names that sounds like a last name) and the guy she "chooses" at the end.

Yes, that's him. I remember him because I wanted her to pick him.

And the one who left early and broke her heart was Brooks. I'm a visual person and remember names and faces pretty well when I see the names spelled out which of course you see on the bachelor/ette all the time.

That should be the name of a nature-boy character or a wood sprite in an Airplane! type satire movie!

Oh man he does have some good hair, wow. Reality Steve has it as Britt instead of Kaitlin because of the dumping schedule. They normally announce at, what is it, the Women Tell All? Which would be right after Kaitlin got dumped, so it just doesn't make a lot of sense in her story arc for her to be like "so sad I got dumped by Chris oh wait I'm the bachelorette now boom!" Britt has the flirtiness going on that Carly doesn't have.
Honestly I get why people are annoyed by Britt but it seems so genuine to me: she wants to either be "the one" or to get out, and it pisses her off that it seems like he is dithering with her emotions. I mean don't we all want to be married to someone that says "yes it's YOU"? Mostly this seems to be really connected to him meeting her family, which is apparently a big deal for people. And yes I realize "that's not how the show works you should be okay with this guy dating other women"- which I'm sure some of these women are IN THEORY but maybe not once they started really seeing themselves with this guy. Kind of like in theory you are okay with being engaged after knowing someone all of six weeks and having spent the equivalent of maybe 4 days with them. Which is why this show is shitty and The Biggest Loser has had more relationships ending in weddings than the Bachelor has.

I can't believe he sent Kaitlyn home! I'm shocked. Becca seems so blah. I feel like he's definitely going to pick Whitney, which I think would make Reality Steve correct. 

I think the Women Tell All episode will be pretty hilarious with Kelsey and the other crazy one.

Yeah I did not see that coming. I was sure Becca was going home. She seems so closed off and quiet, it doesn't even seem like they've connected that much. But I kind of also felt like he's 90% sure he's picking Whitney, so the tough choice was just which other one to eliminate first. I could be totally wrong, but that's the impression I got. 

I can't wait to see Kelsey on the show next week lol

Also, I think it's hilarious that they always do the overnight dates somewhere very warm and tropical. Every season, these poor girls have crazy frizzy hair and the men are dripping with sweat.

Oh man, I was just in Bali 4 months ago and I can tell you I was a sweaty, frizzy mess. I'm impressed they were able to wear makeup at all without it sliding off!

I really like Becca, but I feel like we don't know as much about her because we've only seen like, 2 dates and she's not one of the "loud" ones when it's just the girls together. So it does seem like she almost popped up out of nowhere. I agree with Reality Steve that I think it will be Whitney at the end.

Also not to judge people's life choices, but I had to cringe a bit when Whitney was all "I just want to be a wife and have babies." I was expecting a conversation about compromising (ie her working in Des Moines as a nurse part time, something, anything!). But cool....

And like you said, not my place to judge, but in the hometown date she seemed to LOVE her career and was really proud of it, and it seemed to give her some level of fulfillment or some sense of accomplishment. Not that she couldn't get a huge amount of that from being a mother, but I just feel like she would really miss the career. Maybe that's just me projecting my own feelings of it onto her. Who knows. 

To go from that, though, to a teeny tiny town where she wouldn't even have the option of getting a part-time job nearby just to stay busy... I dunno.... Maybe it would be fun at first cuz she'd be all giddy and in love and Chris would occupy a lot of her time, but that can only last for so long. Then real life sets in, and I picture 2 years down the road, her sitting alone in that house in the middle of nowhere, and it is not a happy picture in my mind. Again, probably just me projecting.

Yes, exactly! It's fine if that's what someone wants to do with her life, but she seemed really proud of her career and I understand that she told Chris she felt like something was "missing" but...if you completely do a 180 and give up your career completely for kids etc, wont you feel like something is missing again? Wouldn't it be easier to try to compromise to have both?

It almost felt like a job interview, telling him the perfect answers so that it would be a perfect fit. I dunno, I could be wrong and maybe she's perfectly ready to give that part of her life up, in that case cool!

I completely agree. I can't imagine either of them remaining happy in Iowa after the shiney-newness of their relationship wears off. I forsee a break-up, or a bitter resentful marriage. 

Also....going to a beautiful resort in Bali before moving to Arlington, Iowa is like taking someone to eat dinner in Tuscany and then telling them they can only have Macaroni Grill for the rest of their life.

I just wanted to hit her with that wife/mom bullshit. I know women who have wanted to be a mom and wife for their entire lives and they are wonderful, amazing people. They even went to college in order to advance that choice (studying education, etc). And that is FINE. I love that.
What I do not love at all ever is this idea that a woman is pressured into making her life "dreams" about his life dreams. I've been in that kind of relationship and it was complete and utter nonsense that I was expected to give up something I had been working towards since the age of FIVE to be the woman HE wants me to be. I love being a wife and may want to be a mom one day too, but if a man expected me to move to a town with no career prospects, grocery store, or internet... Well he's the wrong man for me no matter how good looking and sweet he is.

I feel bad for the remaining contestants. While small town life can work for some people, I think ABC should've chosen a Bachelor who lives in a slightly more populated area with opportunities for work. Being a SAHM is ideal for some, but I feel like Whitney would not do well in that setting only because she is so passionate about her career. I also recall her saying something like oh I can see myself raising a family and being in/going to Chicago with Chris during hometowns. 

I don't know much about Becca, I guess she's quiet? We all know she's a virgin. She didn't want him to know that she was a virgin, but in the end thats how she's being defined by an audience.  I don't care for either contestant right now. 

I can't wait to see the shit show thats going to go down next week, definitely going to be a good time.

The finale is tonight! I'm silly excited. They seem to be alluding to maybe Chris not proposing to anyone, but who knows. I think he picks Whitney.

H just reminded me that the finale is on tonight (heehee) and he said that he thinks Chris will chose the "squeaky voice" girl. I've been thinking Whitney all along, but now (somewhat out of the blue??) he seems pretty fixated on the Becca - maybe it's just how they are editing the footage to keep us hooked, though. Regardless, I'm super excited!

Soo reality steve is saying that the twist might have to do with both britt AND kaitlyn being the Bachelorette. ..and the first episode will be the 25 guys voting on which one to keep? Apparently this was done on a past season of the bachelor. Ahh! I don't know what to think of that.

ETA: reality steve just heard that as a rumor, he doesn't actually know. So it's not a spoiler.
