Central-Southern NJ and PA Venue ?s

Hey all! I have been poking around for a while on here checking all of the wonderful venue suggestions, and I am working on compiling a list of people to reach out to for pricing. However, I would love some more suggestions for venues as well.

I am currently looking for a venue located either in Central NJ, Southern NJ, or eastern PA (Philly area) that has an outdoor ceremony and reception space and a old-timey feel. I would say rustic, but I am getting a bit exhausted of seeing that word everywhere :P

My budget is around $10-12k all in.

Right now I am obsessed with HollyHedge Estate in New Hope, PA; but realistically I don't think it is within my price range. I have also looked at The Washington at Historic Yellow Springs, and think that is adorable as well.

Any and all recommendations will be greatly appreciated. And please tell me about your weddings if you have used any of the locations!

  • 10-12k all in budget means nothing.....we don't know if that's your entire wedding budget, if it's just for the reception.  We don't know if you're having 20 guests or 200 guests.

It will be much easier if you can tell us your budget, per person, including taxes and fees.  This will require you to have a pretty solid draft of a guest list.....if you don't have that, you probably want to sit down and do one first.

It will then also help if you can tell us if you have a preference or are flexible with time of year, day of week and time of day.  All those can have a big influence on the price.  Want a wedding on a Saturday night in September?  That will cost you more than a Sunday daytime wedding in January.  Though if you want outdoors in NJ, please don't pick January.  :)
  • We need more details in terms of what your budget entails, but I also check out the South NJ board, as that board might have ideas closer to PA.

  • As far as the 10-12k, I am intending that for the ceremony and reception space + food and alcohol. Our max guest list will be 100. So, approximately $100 pp.

We are extremely flexible about time of the year and day of the week. Our ideal time and day are fall 2016 and a friday night, but I am also looking at winter dates as well (which would then obviously have to be indoors). We definitely want to stick with nighttime, though.

Sorry I didn't have that in the first post hahah, those are obviously important details.
