I guess the funeral was for a stillborn baby. And CMGr had a problem with that. She didn't like the way the mother was making a huge scene. There were horrible comments made about tiny clothes and the tiny coffin. CMGr didn't think the funeral should be taking place because the baby was born dead. 

Obviously, people were really really offended. And, on a less important note, people told her she had no place to comment since she was only a vendor, hired to preform a service. 

CMGr got all mad at us. We didn't understand her church, the dynamics of the situation, etc. So she said GBCK. Had her account deleted and was gone for months. When she came back, there had been a big exodus from the knot so a bunch of regs had left and don't think anyone ever asked what caused her to come back.

I was here.  The thread was started because a poster asked a question about her PPD.  Apologies to you, CMGragain, if I am mistaken, but I believe you tried to liken your funeral experience to that of a PPD.  THAT is what really caused the uproar.  Unfortunately, you do seem to have an odd way of analogizing scenarios.  It was definitely one of the most vehement posts I had ever read.

ETA:  CMGragain agreed to perform for the service thinking it was a "real" (her words) funeral, and was upset to discover that the funeral was for a lost pregnancy.  I believe that is how/why she compared it with the PPD poster.  I remember the post because my daughter had experienced 3 miscarriages.  Every one of those losses was painfully, gut wrenchingly real.  Following each loss, hospital personnel asked if she and her husband wished to have a funeral.  To not acknowledge that loss as a real death is what caused the uproar.

Ok, I apologize if this was not the reason why you GBCK, it was 2 years ago and I did preface that i was hazy on the exact details.

But I do think it is another perfect example of your character and exactly how close-minded you really are. Are mothers who are made mistake (no matter how big) not allowed to grieve? If you haven't announced your pregnancy, are you not allowed to grieve openly?

I never said you spoke to the family. But that doesn't make your judgment of a grieving family any more excusable.

It's pretty good. But I do cream and sugar. And sometimes not. Fuck it I'll drink caffeine. Like if I could drink just the chemical compound straight I so would.

I speak English, Spanish, french, asl, and irish gaelic. English, french and irish gaelic were spoken at home when I was growing up, so those were easy to get. Spanish my grandma decided I should learn and and asl I learned because one of my friends in elementary school had a non verbal sibling and I thought it was awesome they talked with their hands.

I am really uncomfortable with where this has gone, and how. 

It's okay that people don't like other people. It's okay that people disagree. It's okay when people feel passionate about issues. But I never feel okay when I think people are deliberately trying to hurt each other out of dislike, or even anger about the issues. When it becomes not about the subject, but personal. 

There is a Vietnamese restaurant here that does the iced coffee and condensed milk thing, and always with an orchid on top. A sweet little purple orchid. It's not my favorite thing in the world, but I drink it anyway. For the sweet little orchid.

FOR THE SWEET LOVE OF BABY JESUS, CMGr!!!  Did you seriously judge this woman's right to have a funeral for her baby because she was a hard core drug user who had 4 kids taken away? If she had been a church going tea totaller who was mother of the year to her other children would the funeral have been ok then?  Stop judging people!  NONE of the information you shared about the mother has a single thing to do with her having a funeral for her lost child.  None of it.  And, no this doesn't change my mind about that situation at all.  She miscarried and wanted a funeral for her baby.  That is the only relevant information in the post.

You want to call the lost child a fetus.  OK - scientifically, it was a growing fetus, but have you EVER EVER in  your life heard a woman say she was grieving because she lost her fetus?  NO - everyone I have ever known who has suffered a miscarriage said they lost their "baby" and that it was he/she to them.

And stop hiding behind your age.  Being "old" is a state of mind and you seem to want to embrace it.  I will be 55 in a couple of weeks and "old" is a good 25-30 years away, if that.  Why?  Because I choose for it to be.

You have to be a pretty strong woman - you have had to fight for your life and you are doing it again.  You are living with metastatic cancer and I can't imagine walking in your shoes.  How about you take some of that same awesome strength and determination and think about not judging people who are different, and think about not being old?

Well, you COULD make your own liner. Do you have a Navy eyeshadow? You could buy Medusa's Makeup eyeliner seal. You mix a little eyeshadow with the seal and it creates an eyeliner. It's only a few dollars on Amazon and it's the best deal because you can mix it with any color eyeshadow and make eyeliners. If you decide you love it, you could always just buy a Navy liner.

Also, the seal works amazing if you use it with eyshadow and put it in your waterlines. Only things that actually stays put.

Are you allergic to any specific ingredients in the liner? I'd go to a natural foods store or a Whole Foods type deal and try out an eyeliner they have there.

In that case, I believe wetnwild has some blue eyeliner. They've really stepped up their game. Theyre liquid liner is my dupe for Kat von Ds expensive ass autograph eyeliner from Sephora that's amazing.

I love doing this with Urban Decay eye shadows! They're so pigmented that it's like WOW.  I used to use a matte black UD eye shadow and put a little water on a brush for "liquid" liner on my top lid. It was awesome. (Because it was super easy and one little pot of eye shadow lasts like forever if you're just using it as liner)
